If they can get Chandler on a two or three year deal at $12 million that would be solid. Hope Bucks can also get a decent backup like Ajinca

Does Chandler go with us early though vs waiting and seeing if the Mavs strike out on Aldridge and Jordan?

We might not have much time to wait either depending on the arrangement we have with Middleton.

If that's a problem, and if Koufos or Rolo are willing to sign on the dotted line early, we could end up running with the bird in hand.

Can middleton resign before the end of the moratorium or no? Because if he can't, they'll have like 10 days, which should be more than enough.

Wiz fan here, just curious if Dudley has opted in or out? Us Wiz fans are discussing him as a potential stretch four option, we have a TPE so if the Bucks need the cap room, Wizards might be a good match.

Many of us are pretty sure that if he opts out, it is to sign a 2 or 3 year deal to stay here in MKE. I'd be shocked if we traded him, but anything is possible.

How are we going to get a legit prospect?

He has a player option, and I don't think you can trade him if/when he picks it up. You'll either have your shot to pick him up in fa if he declines his option, or he'll be a Buck until at least the deadline.

There are a handful of guys that are or were talked about being moved who have a player option (Hibbert, Monta to name two), you sure they couldn't trade him?

I'm talking about subsequent to picking up the player option. Think about it, what's the point then? It's bait and switch. They may well have just become fa's otherwise. I gotta think the player's union wouldn't have stood for it in collective bargaining.

Giannis can't shoot yet and often over passes. They may not even grow into those roles. You can't take that for granted. I'd bet a lot on it with Jabari, but Giannis is more up in the air. It's a bridge you could cross anyway when you come to it. You gotta take the established core player like Monroe when you can get them.

But then MCW really should be sent packing because his lack of shooting just isn't going to work with a guy like Monroe in the same lineup. I still daydream of prying Schroeder away from Atlanta with Teague an all-star. Schroeder/Middleton/Parker/Giannis/Monroe would be the best transition team God ever created. Buku fan ingratiation and plenty of wins to come with it. Plus, Monroe nor Jabari would have to play as much halfcourt d.

Can't And'1 this enough. I wish we'd conserve our splurging until after we have a good idea of what Jabari will be. Right now though Bucks fans are expediting the process and trying to put finishing touches on a roster that still needs to solidify its core.

Your concerns are valid but it has to do with the Bucks as an organization being all in on both Jabari and Giannis becoming studs. If only one makes it to say top 10 status and the other falls flat the plan falls apart one way or another.

I would say that if that ends up being the case it would still be best to have assembled the best team around him in the off hopes that either could hit top 3 or even MVP status and potentially carry a solid/good supporting cast to a chip. But I'll probably be in the minority here with that type of thinking

Then again if you think both are going to fall short of star status then were screwed either way

Agree with your last statement and see your argument as a whole (OKC's 2012 run would be a good example why a team -shouldn't- wait). But I also admittedly have tame (some might even say pessimistic) expectations for Parker. So if the Bucks wanna start constructing their roster under the "at least one of these guys will be a star" pretense, that's fine. It's a high risk/reward situation. But as Bernman said, I hope that wouldn't stop us from adding some established talent in case one or both don't quite reach their ceilings.

Could we get Noel in a 3 team's deal if we offered Henson+Mayo+future 1st and Hammond's kidney?

The Bucks will sign Brook Lopez. I know they will. Kidd tried to have him traded here before he moved to MIL because he knew he wouldn't be too far behind, following his friends Wes Edens and Marc Lasry. I believe that is a pretty sound indicator of just how much Kidd wants Lopez to play for the Bucks. Do you think they care about the cap? I don't. I think they will gladly pay the luxury tax to give Jason Kidd the players he wants here in Milwaukee. Should be fun to see what shakes out here soon.

It doesn't work like that. Player options only lock players into the monetary value of their contract, not the team that's paying them. He's absolutely tradeable if he opts in at his current salary. If Monta were to have opted into his deal with Dallas, there were plenty of reports saying they'd look into trade scenarios. Player options are meant to allow players flexibility to get out of their deals should their value on the open market rise.

*This is all separate from a no-trade clause which I believe requires 4 years of service with the current team and 8 years total in the NBA

I get that everyone likes Dudley & appreciate what he did for stretches last season but I just feel like his legs are going to fall off. He's a guy I wouldn't mind playing every third game. Hope we don't get silly with his contract.

I guess I'll give credit if we do that... but you're starting to sound like a crazy person.

By all accounts Lopez has more or less agreed to stay with the Nets. I also seriously doubt Kidd knew he was coming to Milwaukee so he tried to trade Lopez here. That's "Bush committed 9/11" level conspiracy theory.
