Can you believe he's only 29? lol, he's younger than LeBron (and almost just as good an athlete!)

Well, regardless, it would be a dick move then, and that was one area where the owners actually out-bargained the players.

I think they will gladly pay the luxury tax to give Jason Kidd the players he wants here in Milwaukee. Should be fun to see what shakes out here soon.

I guess I'll give credit if we do that... but you're starting to sound like a crazy person.

By all accounts Lopez has more or less agreed to stay with the Nets. I also seriously doubt Kidd knew he was coming to Milwaukee so he tried to trade Lopez here. That's "Bush committed 9/11" level conspiracy theory.

Really? You think Lasry and Edens just decided one day, "Hey, I got a cool idea! Let's buy the Bucks!"

Those plans were in the works for some time, and both owners are good friends with Kidd. I don't doubt for a second that they told him they were going to bring him along as their HC, well in advance of them purchasing the team. People like that don't just buy ****. They plan, well in advance. Jason Kidd as the Bucks Head Coach was a firm part of their plan all along.

I think Monroe is a New York knick on Wednesday. Lopez stays with the Nets. Deandre stays with the Clips. Kanter stays with Thunder.

Bucks get Tyson

There's a huge difference between saying" Lets buy a team rn" to personnel moves being made before anything is even arranged, let alone a deal in place to leave Brooklyn while he's still under contract. You're the one who sounds like a crazy person with this, "I know they will," stuff.

Rather not sign any of them, but Monroe over Brook and Brook over Kan'ter.

I just don't think Monroe is a 1st of the month decision with the Knicks. There are a lot of question marks with that franchise yet. Whether he ends up some place else or not is beside the point. I definitely think he'll be weighing his options a little harder than that.

Are we using this thread specifically for our targets and the ATL thread for other free agents? LaMarcus Aldridge is setting up a meeting between himself, his mother, and the Raptors organization.

I didn't say you were "crazy," but you've said that I am twice now. OK. Thanks for that.

I'm just looking at the situation, I guess from a different perspective. These are multi-billionaire owners we have now, one's who like to get done what they want to get done. I didn't make up that Kidd tried to have Lopez traded here. Doesn't the timing of that seem, at least, plausable?

April 2014 - Lasry and Edens buy the Bucks
May 2014 - Nets lose in playoffs to MIA
June 2014 - Reports surface Kidd wanted to trade Lopez and another player to MKE for Sanders and another player after playoffs.

These guys will have no problem hitting the luxury tax, if they can get what they want. Forget the cap. At least, I suspect that to be the case. If Kidd wants Lopez, he could very well wind up here in Milwaukee.

I'll add, I've seen no report saying Lopez has agreed to anything with the Nets.

I just don't how Monroe looks at the Knicks roster and says champions? Melo, Calderone, Early, Porzingis, maybe Afflalo?

No, it really doesn't seem plausible. Not at all.

They could sign another free agent to go with and don't forget Jerian Grant making everybody better. They'd be decent, not contenders, but make the playoffs in the east.

Besides, it's not just about winning at this point in his career, regardless what he says. Gets to live in NY with more earning potential and ways to spend the money.

Man if Houston is looking to shed massive salary (as reported by Stein) to make a run at Love or Aldridge we should really get in on that fire sale.

I could see a scenario where they are waiting for another big fish like Jordan and let Chandler walk out the door.
