if we can't get enough offense off of Giannis/Parker/MCW/Middleton and a bench that is more geared toward scoring than we have far larger problems.

I want absolutely nothing to do with Biyombo here. Unless it's a cheap deal to replace Henson because we have a starting center and we traded Henson. Like Lopez is our starter and Biyombo is our backup. I could live with that. I'd rather have Henson over Biyombo.

Honestly I think he has improved quite a bit, especially offensively where he's accepted his role. His first couple years he was trying to do too much but has settled down nicely. Comparing his first couple years he's shooting less "bad" shots and converting a lot better on the good looks. Last two years he's converting at around 70% at the rim compared to 60%ish his first two and last season he was up to around 75% of his looks coming at the rim compared to 50/57 his first two.

That's a better way to put it. The role. I'm not sure he's earned his way to be a top 15 starter at center who plays 30mpg. That's sort of the type of guy I'd like to sign, otherwise I'd stick with Henson/ZaZa/Plumlee for another year.

If you get Biyombo around 5 to 6 mil a year, that doesn't mean he's replacing Henson. You don't even have to replace him the starting line up, but more of an insurance policy. Zaza can't be counted on for big minutes and Henson goes down and we're in some real trouble depth wise.

You mean like what Houston is doing now with Papanikalou?

Or like Dallas said they'd do with Monta?

Or like Golden State and Indiana are possibly trying to do with Speights and Hibbert?

LeBron has opted out and hasn't made any mention of the bucks. That's confirmed through my sources.

Biyombo/Henson/Zaza three headed monster at center is all we need. If Henson's ever going to be playing his balls of you'd have to figure it's this season. Sometimes we go small with Giannis at the 5.

Crowder, Bismack & Teletovic. Call it an offseason.

isn't Biyombo the guy who a scout said lost a one on one drill with a chair?

You're beating a dead horse. It's been established already it's apparently (rather illogically) legal. Either way, the chances Kidd would do that to Dudley instead of keeping him on the relative cheap are slim.

I don't think he's a top 15 guy either, though defensively I would definitely bet on it. I don't really subscribe to the notion that an offensive guy is going to do wonders for this team though. To be completely honest, I'm calling Indy and trying to bring in Hibbert for pennies if we're going the "Kidd wants to win as many games as humanly possible" next season route.

Completely on board with absorbing one year of Hibbert. I wouldn't even require an asset for it necessarily.

Nope, I'd even give them a few "assets" like Plumlee and Bayless to help round out their roster if they wanted them.

I don't think we have plans of Zaza and Henson being our 1/2 centers this fall.

Isn't the goal from here on out to win as many games as humanly possible? I think we are done with the "tanking" portion of this rebuild

It's gotta be a huge red flag that guys like O'Quinn and Biyombo play a few years for bad teams and still only get in the teens for minutes. It's like Henson only worse. And many are indifferent about Henson while he's here or even want to push him out. Isn't the more logical place to look for diamonds in the rough (if you're looking for that type of guy), good teams with established players? If they're on bad teams at least they could only be a year or two into their careers, still developing as prospects, and a couple years away from having to decide to pay them 10's of millions.

I would be completely bummed if our Center would be Biyombo. There is a reason why Charlotte is letting him walk - no need to pick up scraps for someone like him.

We're not bringing him on the basis he's going to improve leaps and bounds. Come in and play great D for 20 to 30 minutes night and clean up around the boards. If you your hands aren't making contact with rim when you shoot, pass the ball.
