So our starting center will be? Davis is also a FA should be interesting

Wouldn't shock me if he is retained at a cheaper rate. They gave him 2 years of pay last year and honestly he could play next to. Aldridge or Deandre for what's left of a max if they kick Kelly out

There are quite a few bigs available! Does not mean we get who we want but we have many options. Just think we could possibly even get a lower tier player like Tyson Chandler for the same price we would have paid Hill.

Just throwing out Chandlers name as i think he is better than Hill and likely will get the same $$ and there are a few others in the same boat.

Chandler should be the team's primary FA target.
If more people thought like I do, the world would be a much better place.

Yeah I'm feeling Chandler too. We need a defensive cog, someone who won't slowdown what is hopefully a high octane offense, and a veteran leader.

Chandler would be my preferred target as well. Jordan is good, but I've always felt that he's slightly overrated as a defender and he'd cost more. I'm not too worried about Chandler's age.

LMA and Chandler would be terrific.
Chandler is injury prone though.
We'd need somone to back him up.

Glad we didn't waste all that cap space hoping to use hill as a trade asset.

Chandler for $30 million over 3 years is the PERFECT piece for us... He rebounds, blocks ****, defends & sets picks... He has the respect of veteran ayers in the league cans is from LA... He would be perfect...

I hope Mitch calls him at 12:01 & offers a deal to bring him back to LA...

Sign me up for an Aldridge, Randle, Davis trifecta with Black and Upshaw getting the leftovers.

I can live with that. I'd have liked for us to sign another shot creator for the perimeter (Kobe insurance) but there's not going to be much left after LMA and Ed get paid so you gotta hope 2 out of Russell, Kobe and Clarkson stay healthy and play well.

NOW the picture is becoming clear. An Aldridge type player would fit nicely into our gameplan. Deandre as well

I feel you, but first and foremost the Lakers need defense on the perimeter dude ... not another shot creator. Clarkson, Russell, Kobe, Randle, and (sometimes) Young will suffice.

Kobe will ask Tyson Chandler to be his Tyson chandler. I love it.

As he should. In a perfect world, you almost have to ask LA to take 18mil and an option to opt out and be compensate next year and then ship Sacre and Kelly off for space.

If we could come away with LA and Tyson it would be perfect. I'd offer Tyson the full 4 years if he took less to come here as a way to make things even out since he's looking at 3 from most other places

Now that would look good up front LA, Randle, Black, and Tyson ... Would allow for the room to be used to shore up backup perimeters spot with the room. I would use Tyson and Kobe to lure Barea and Butler here.

If he would take the minimum to be a backup, would buy metta since he is officially eligible to return to us now. Give Kobe 15-20 a night of rest at SF and bring intensity

too many options to play the weak re-up game with Hill. I'm excited to see what we can do. Marc seems out of reach, but you have to stab at him, Aldridge, Chandler, and hack-a-Deandre (do not like the idea of that). I'd rather go all in on Upshaw that overpay Davis, though.
