As an old school Bucks fan who rooted for Lew Alcindor, then had to wait for the Dobber before seeing another real Center, and have been waiting for another ever since, I don't want them to waste this opportunity on another 4-5 tweener, or one that can't do the work.

Give me Lopez or Chandler.

And I don't want some hack who can't make his FTs.

Jesus H! Can we get a real Center?

I'm way more on board with Hibbert in a contract year than Lopez or Monroe. If we can get Chandler for 2 years that's my top choice, but one year of Hibbert is next if we're hell bent on getting a big money center this offseason.

He camps in the paint, fights for rebounds, is a good passer, and is pretty crafty at taking what the defense offers. By no means a guy you run offense through or strive to get shots for. Defensively, he is a guy you have to adjust your scheme to cover for. Zaza is not a good defender, but smart enough to execute his assignments. There are some pick and roll coverages that Monroe can't even execute.

Gasol is the guy that puts us in the Eastern Conference Finals, but his acquisition is unfathomable.

Robin Lopez is the gettable guy who matches Zaza's size and strength, upgrades his rebounding and defense, and is basically a wash on offense. I know it is not an exciting acquisition, but I expect our wins would rise significantly with this type of signing.

Monroe in the paint will draw a double team and can pass out of it to the open shooter, RoLo won't, and the difference in price is maybe 3mil?

Disagree. NBA defenses are sophisticated enough to double off of non shooters. Its not like Middleton's man would be coming to stop Monroe. Furthermore, Monroe isn't busting out the dream shake or the sky hook on a regular basis. He gets his points off of putbacks, set ups, and foul shots. Its not like he is eating defennses up with his post scoring.

Very few of you have actually watched Monroe play, based on what I am reading from some of these posts. He is really slow, he doesn't get off the ground, he doesn't have a go to move, he can't create his own looks, and he doesn't have a great motor. The fact that NY has been rumored to be giving him the max caused a lot of laughing in league circles, not because he is a bad player, but because he is just not a max player and it shows Phil J's desperation.

I would love him on a 2 year deal, for what he does bring to the table (rebounding, passing, bulk). But a lot here are describing him as a featured scorer, and thats just not his game / skillset.

Hey WiscoKing,
No expectations from me after decades of BS basketball in Milwaukee. It's all a wish now! I just want to see not good basketball, but, great basketball again in this city.

I'm tired of always having to settle for a bunch of chumps that never pan out. I want to add quality players. We need a Center better than ZaZa, one who starts and makes a difference. Seems we've added some decent quality everywhere else over the years. Why waste that with a substandard Center?

He was set to make $16.1 million for next season. Wade now will seek a multiple-year deal with the Heat while also potentially exploring his options elsewhere.

Two suitors might be the Dallas Mavericks and Milwaukee Bucks.

I think you're putting too much stock into what Rolo/Chandler would bring to us if we signed them.

I think i'd give up on the bucks if we signed him, wouldn't over react or anything.

We took a risk going lotto with Bogut. I'd feel way better adding either of Lopez or Chandler, especially if that's what Kidd wants. Both of those players are very solid 5s.

I am perfectly fine with the Bucks trying to win games at this point. Signing Wade would be trying to win games.

We aren't going to be losing a ton. It really just comes down to how much do we win imo. We are going to be .500 or better from now on regardless.

Granted signing Wade right now is a bit premature as far as lining us up for being the best we can be, but we'd be pretty darn good with him at SG next season and Middleton off the bench. Pipe dream, but hardly worth being upset over.

People need to relax on the Wade thing. We can't sign him now due to bringing in superstar Vasquez anyways.

I'd prefer Wade on the max versus Lopez or Monroe. At least you know when Wade is healthy you're getting production that's more akin to a max player.

Also, in this fantasy scenario id just start Wade at PG with Midd at the 2.

It is cool to even be linked to a big name like Wade. We've come along way since rolling out the red carpet for Etan Thomas.

If Wade was willing to play point and dedicate himself to being the ultimate role player, I'd love it. Thing is, if he was willing to do just that, there are a lot more attractive options then Milwaukee.
