If Wade is serious (and he likely is using us for leverage) then call his bluff. Give him the 3/$50 contract he wants.
Then try to dump the Mayo, Bayless and Plumlee contracts either in S&T with Miami or elsewhere. Sign Rolo.
You keep MCW as your PG and play him with Wade. You move Middleton to SF. Giannis to PF. Jabari starts the season off the bench until he builds up his stamina and proves his knee is good.
You also still have a great bench because you'd not only have Jabari but also Grievis, ZaZa, Dudley, Henson and likely still Bayless.
Then let the young guys like Inglis, Vaughn, Ennis ride the pine until they prove worthy of minutes.
That would be a ridiculously entertaining team with a lot of upside the next two years.

Still very much hoping the Bucks get Monroe on a 2yr + 1yr player option deal. Bucks will have a very young and exciting team to build and own the future on, very different from Kohl era teams. Really looking forward to it.
MCW (23) / Ennis (20)
Middleton (23) / Vaughn (19)
Parker (20)
Giannis (20) / Ingles (20)
Monroe (25) / Henson (24)

And what happens when Jabari is ready for a full workload (which could be right away). Wade isn't going to the bench. Middleton isn't, especially given a new/big deal. Giannis isn't.
You starting Wade at point for the next 2-3 years?

I'm not going to worry about it because Wade's deal would be up before you'd need to re-sign Jabari. I have no clue what we have with Jabari right now.
And Giannis may shift to center somewhat also. And I can put Middleton on the bench for two years because IF Wade is healthy and playing well, he's opting out after two years anyways.
ETA: Wade is a 60-65 game per season player anyways. Add in bringing back Jabari slowly and this works fine.

Jesus, now we're talking about Wade? Really looking forward to the start of FA so we can focus on things that may actually happen.

My thing would be it's different because of what Jason Kidd/LED inherited, not because of what they're doing. What they're doing/expected to do is very Kohl-esque.

Thinking Wade is coming here has been pp's boner for the past couple of days.

Yeah, people don't seem to realize that we tanked before LED and Kidd got here. They said we're rebuilding but most of their moves have indicated otherwise.

Year 1 with Wade we ease Jabari back into things off the bench and then starting during the 20 or so games Wade misses. We also ease Giannis into playing center minutes.
If Giannis is ready to start at center by the time Jabari is 100% we don't have lineup issues. If that isn't in the cards it's only be one more season with an awesome 6th man, whoever that would end up being.

If I can procure a donkey, there's more than a chance. It will be happening.

You absolutely don't keep MCW if you acquire Wade because that would be a horror show. MCW should definitely be off the ball on the court with Wade, yet he's virtually useless offensively in that role. Players complementing each other matters greatly when you want to take that s**t to the next level as we see time and time again.
And if you can get Chandler over Rolo, you absolutely make that move instead too. I'd venture to guess Wade couldn't care less about Rolo. But Chandler commands respect around the league on and off the court. And for good reason. The guy is a well-spoken leader, and this last year he was still a hoss. 5.4 Roland Rating, highest on the Mavs among season regulars, higher than Dirk. Rolo was a whole +0.8. Steal Chandler as part of a packaged deal with Wade while the Mavs are flirting, possibly fruitlessly with DJ. Chandler said he wants to decide quickly. That works in our favor if Wade demonstrates to him early he's serious about coming here.
