probably close to it. I assume 18-20 somewhere in that range.

If that is what Brook Lopez gets why wouldn't Milsap ask for the same thing.

So that means Aldridge is staying in Portland and if Detroit offers Monroe a contract, he is staying there also.

Knicks are allowed to absorb 125% of salaries in a sign and trade I believe, since they are under the cap. With creative ways, I think they have close to $32-$33 mil in cap right now. And that with Calderon and before the projected $2mil increase.

I think Phil's patience will play a huge role in this. One that early crop goes we will be left with the most $$$ and can get some leverage back from the FA's.

Right now the FA's have all the leverage because they have multiple options. Once options start drying up you can use your $$$ more prudently.

Now there is some risk because the quality of players might be lesser but you might be able to get 3-4 solid impact pieces for the $$$ instead of just blowing it on 2 guys.

He's 30, but coming off a career year and wasn't used that much early in his career so he has less "wear on his tires." He's also has such a unique skill set and is perfect for the Magic. I love this move for them. They are going to be really good if he signs there.
