you don't turn down 90 million. He made the all-star team for the first time this year. 90 million is a ton of $$$ and he still can be a FA around 30 again.

Corey Brewer would be a really good signing. Plays hard, mad man in transition, and plays good D

first two are correct, 3rd is not.

While he gets into passing lanes and get steals he is a pretty mediocre at best defender. Gambles way to much

He's not Tony Allen but he's not mediocre at defense. Melo is medicore

Brewer's defense is overrated. He's also better suited for a more uptempo system than what the Knicks likely will be running (if they end up with Anthony and Monroe). Not a good addition unless it's for real cheap...and looking at the spat of contracts being offered, it's not going to be cheap enough.

yep. and he probably is not the kind of guy that will make the all-star game every year. this might be the year to cash in.

If they want to get overpaid , don't pay them, simple as that. There has to be a plan B if we don't get what we want. Maybe try unloading Melo if we can't field a decent team through FA.

I believe its called the Rose Rule. if they meet certain criteria, they get a bump in their salary.

I think its time for Phil to play it cool. There will be bargains when the smoke settles.

Less teams competing means more leverage for us in negotiations.

they just sign him after tyson. nobody can be signed till the 9th. these are just agreements.
