Danny Green signs with Spurs, 4 years $45 million
We can scratch him off the list. Reasonable deal for him IMO.

Wow. I kind of like Carroll better for the PIstons, but I really wish i was 6'6" and could shoot NBA 3s.

Saw this coming when Tiago and Mills were being dangled. Stan Van can cancel his trip now - more time to spend in Orlando doing nothing.

Not surprising I guess. Around 11 mil/per is great pay for a role player like him and he gets to the remain with a contender.
Now If Milsap goes to the Magic I can see the Hawks going hard to bring back Carroll. Not sure what SVG plans to do at this point. I never expected us to have a chance at bringing in someone like LMA or DeAndre Jordan but I have to admit I'd be disappointed if our most notable FA signing is just a 7th/8th man off the bench.

Yeah, I have to believe we were willing to offer him more money in this market, but he probably felt comfortable with his current support role on a perennial contender.
It seems like the outcome of this Milsap situation is going to have a pretty big impact on our options in regards to having a shot at Carroll or Harris.

Can't really blame Stan. I don't think it was the offer sheet or anything. I think it was just Green wanting to stay competitive as a Spur. Magic are going really hard for Millsap. We need to make a move on Tobias ASAP. Offer him a big contract.

Splitter was just traded to the Hawks... meaning they're more likely to let Millsap walk now and resign DeMarre Carrol, moving Horford to PF with Splitter at C.

^Yep, Magic is going to get their versatile forward somehow, someway. I hope they don't match it when we offer to him.

Danny Green spurns Pistons, re-signs with Spurs
http://www.detroitbadboys.com/2015/7/1/8877503/2015-nba-free-agency-danny-green-spurs-pistons
Green was Pistons head honcho Stan Van Gundy's primary target in free agency. He was the first meeting the team set up with an outside free agent and there had been indications for weeks that the sharshooter topped the team's wishlist.
Now he's gone.
Van Gundy will have to move onto a plan B and hope it works out because quite a few plan Cs are already off the board.
That Plan B might be the Hawks DeMarre Carrol, or it could be young Magic forward Tobias Harris.
