+1 For real  Few days before the draft, AG follows Justise Winslow, we drafted JW right? Oh wait...

When a player meets a team in general, they meet fellow players, they become friends, and follow each other on social media. Plain and simple.

Josh Robbins: I’m not yet convinced that if the Magic sign Paul Millsap that the Magic would not match an offer sheet for Tobias Harris.

I was about to say that. We can go over the cap to resign Harris. We need to sign Millsap soon though.

Sounds like a) he doesn't actually have an offer sheet and b) that likely means he's not getting what he expects on the market. Could be totally off base though.

It makes sense that RFAs would not have deals from other teams yet. So no surprise on Tobias I guess.

Makes no sense for either party yet since offer sheets can't be signed for another week.

Right.

Jimmy Butler gone too. More calls for Tobias now, I assume.

Would be funny if no one offers him an offer sheet and we sign him for $12m/yr

So let me get this right every single valuable SF has already signed contracts but Harris.

This leads me to believe this is on purpose and Henny simply said "let me sign Milsap before you sign an offer sheet and we'll promise you your max".

If so Henny is a gawd.....if not I'm confused.

plus if Harris wants a shot at a s+t he can't either accept or reject the Magic's qualifying offer so that he does not become restricted or lose his bird rights...the minute he becomes restricted he can no longer be s+t and that eliminates all teams without cap space, a list which is rapidly growing

After striking out on $80 mill/4 years for Millsap, I have a hard time believing the Magic won't re-sign Harris.

Why do I feel like we are not gonna match the offer? After missing out on Milsap, this board will want Henny's head if we don't resign Tobias too.

unless tobias straight up tells him he doesn't want to be here, then what does henny do? sure it's not really up to Tobias but at the same time do you really want a disgruntled player in the locker room?

who cares if he's unhappy, he's an asset and the organization invested time and money in him

if he really wants out then its up to his agent to find a trade partner to get an equal asset in return

but i don't think that's the case, he just wants to get paid as much as he can - nothing wrong in that

How many RFAs came to agreements today? Not many, unless its like Butler who is getting the max. Not sure if it's been true in the past, but I would imagine UFAs get the bulk of the attention and offers the first day of free agency unless it's a max type situation. Harris COULD be a max offer, but he could be just under it.

My guess is he hasn't received that max offer, if he had we'd probably have heard about it. That's not to say he won't. Teams could be waiting to see how things shake out and then could offer him a max. Tobias can sit back and wait for the dust to settle and wait for teams to come calling.

Wouldn't be surprised if he gets a max offer from teams like NYK, Detroit, or L.A. who aren't exactly sweeping the free agency markets get desperate and make Harris a huge offer, especially NYK. I would've included Boston but they've picked up Amir Johnson and won't have the cap space to make a serious offer to Tobias.
