Still don't understand the reasoning behind the Chandler signing. A not so cheap recruting ploy?

At least from the reports I've seen Aldridge is a big fan of Chandlers, LMA wants to play PF outright, weakens Mavs and Clips(wanted him if they lost Deandre), can mentor Len, provide defense we've been missing

Add in good young guards in Bledsoe and Knight
role players like Granger, Warren, maybe Goodwin, Leuer

I think second place behind GSW in the Pacific especially if theClippers lose Deandre and in the West:

Rockets
Warriors
Thunder
Spurs
Grizzlies
Suns
Clippers
Pelicans
Mavericks

But if the SPurs do not get him they already traded Splitter - the might just fall further

Nope only team I can realistically see us leapfrogging is the Mavs even if they get Jordan

And Chandler removes a lot of pressure from Len. Saves Len some wear and tear on those ankles, gives him a mentor that can mold him on the defensive end.

Price tag is high but that's the free agent market these days

And Len saves wear and tear on Chandler, both guys would likely see a lot of minutes no matter what happens.

I disagree. Bledsoe and Knight is a pretty good guard combo, now you add Goodwin, Booker, Warren into that along with LMA, Chandler, Len, Granger.....that's a 50+ win team.

I love it... veteran leadership. Defense. Tc brings all that stuff. If we can Land lma than are we a solid solid team... good frontcourt, good backcourt, we ned a solid sf and I would be happy

If the Mavs lose Ellis, don't get Jordan, trade Chandler for Wright - that is not a better team than last year. I think the Suns - even with just Chandler to last years roster - passes the Mavericks and possibly the Pelicans. Not the Thunder. Thunder should be stacked if healthy.

Suns were 39-43 last year
roster upheaval
lost 18 games by 5 points or less including lucky shots by Middleton and Griffin
all things the same and with improvement from players, coaches, better locker room - probably , today, pre LMA are improved by 6-8 wins from last year.

at least we know that LMA likes Chandler making this an understandable signing going all in for LMA.
