LMA said he does not want to play C, and he will need to do that when Duncan needs to rest or is injured.

I think they have Baynes too, he is a decent C.

I think our best chance to sign him was on the spot with the emotion running high kinda selling the dream vs selling the reality the spurs can win a title next year for sure vs us not sure.

Hey great effort and let's hope for the best!

I agree as well but he seems adamant in giving each team a shot. Hope the decision is tonight.

They have pretty poor frontcourt depth actually. They chose to stash away some unheard of Euro center overseas instead of drafting a player who contribute immediately

Best case scenario

Suns sign Aldridge

Suns trade Marcus Morris and PJ tucker to Cleveland for Brendan Haywood's expiring contract

Cleveland has marion retiring, james jones and mike miller are ancient, JR and Shump are free agents

They need wings who can score and shoot

tucker and morris can do both.

Haywood expiring deal makes sense for us we get to unload a malcontent in morris and a maxed out potential role player in tucker to make this work.

Bledsoe Ish Smith?
Knight Goodwin Booker
Granger? Warren Bullock
Aldridge Markieff Leuer
Chandler Len

That lineup is nasty especially if Granger brings something to the table.

at least we know that LMA likes Chandler making this an understandable signing going all in for LMA.

OMFG. McD you genius!

If we sign LMA, we will have the best frontcourt in Suns history! ! Aldridge, Markieff, Chandler, Len and....and.....and....LEUER!!!!!!!

In a year or 2 from now the Spurs are back to ground zero and in rebuild mode. LMA will be smack dead in the middle of a rebuild. I don't see how that is appealing.

Spurs also have a reputation of drafting well and putting the right pieces in place. So that point is pretty much moot.

I got it they have a "reputation" but realistically they have only drafted manu, Parker, Leonard. Those are the only ones that are of any significance in the last 15 years. Other than that they have not drafted well. But I guess reputation takes you far.
I am such a lucky NBA fan. 8647 My favorite team went from the most greedy and racist owner to the most ego driven dumbass owner in all of sports fdt.

Hahaha we'd be doing PJ dirty if we traded him just as his buddy got here. I anticipate if LMA picked us, we'd use it as an opportunity to ship the Morrii off for peanuts, much to the dislike of many fans here. But the Morrii have so much baggage that it's easy to justify getting fleeced in that respect.

I'd say it's 70/30 Spurs, which is a big improvement from what I thought before

If we got LMA, I'd be fine trading away the Morrii, as much as I like Kieff.
SHAZAM!

Suns traded Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, Jae Crowder and 4 1st round picks and a swap so some Vegas Bookies would like us.

Spurs probably have the best international scouts/talent evaluators and player development personnel in the league. Kawhi probably wouldn't have turned into the kind of the player he is today if it wasn't for the nurturing environment that let him ease into his place before before passed down the torch. Even when they make bizarre mindboggling picks you know they are outsmarting everybody/. But yeah they lucked last time when they tanked for Duncan who was under the tutlelage of a former #1 pick/HOFer in DRobinson

Reports are that Aldridge looks up to Chandler as a player. I think they are more so friends than anything... they are only 3 years difference in age.

Thanks for the quick reply mate.

LMA wants to play next to a defensive/rebounding center. That's why he loved Fropez so much in PDX. Chandler checks a huge box for him

No matter what happens gotta give credit to McDonough he has done all he can do. Worst comes to worst we are better today than we were yesterday with chandler who can gives us good defense and 15 rebounds on any given night.. Bledsoe Alley Oop to Chandler!!
