Sign and trades under the new CBA are limited to 4 years so we can't offer more money than the other non-Blazer teams. We also can't stack that trade exception; can't combine it with players. Good thing though is that trade exception would make it really easy to add a cheap vet.

They can't get the 7.5% raises instead of the 4% raises or whatever it is either?

David Aldridge ‏@daldridgetnt 25s25 seconds ago
Suns believed before meeting Aldridge they had a shot. They were right. Chandler surprise big. Phoenix was "very impressive," per source.

People don't really want amare right? It's just jokes where people forgot to use the green font I assume?

As much as I think Amare is a dumb as dirt, I'd gladly take him for a vet min deal, if we had to trade the twins to clear cap space.

Don't be disrespectful to Amare. He's one of the best PF in Suns' history but I do think he's defensively challenged at times.

How is that disrespectful to Amare? In a press conference he actually kept saying that he was going to check into the game, that was why he was so far up the court. :banghead: The dude is dumb.

It'll be interesting to see if Kennedy and Spears RT Woj or Aldridge, little early in this thing to be eating crow.

I wonder who the source is? Was anyone else in the meeting with Aldridge? Probably his agent. Anyone else? Or I wonder if Aldridge just told a few people "that was impressive".

I wonder if Sarver mentioned to McD and company the pitch they made to Nash back in the say, and made it similar to that. I remember they kind of blew him away with a huge plan, and I think like a book on how it will all work, etc.

Another thing no one has brought up, surprisingly, is that until today, everyone was saying the twins were untrade-able due to their pending felony charge, and today everyone acts like they are going to deal them, or at least one of them and Tucker (if they sign Aldridge).

All I can say is that if they pull this off, Suns will have the attention of every FA and every team out there.

McD now needs to be working on closing the deal. The presentation today got LMA's strong interest, a good salesman goes for the jugular and closes the deal. McD talks about bringing in one more high level player, possibly at SF. not sure who that would be though.

McD needs to take one more step and this is a done deal.

I'm fine with trading picks to dump them if we get LMA.

Its gunna be a straight up salary dump with no false pretense without a return on whatever value Kieff has by himself. Hell we might have to throw in at least a first to convince any team to take them on and I doubt they would be willing to for all three. But the Morrii seem to be an inseperable package or else they become whiny babies

Twins got me to thinking about the stretch provision. Wonder if Sarver would be willing to dump Marcus by stretching his salary out over the next 9 years?? Of course some other team could always pick him up off waivers too and save the Suns some dough.

True, at this point you know a team like Philly would take our pick and Cleveland pick for them. Actually maybe just for Mook even. They would probably like Philly more anyway....rabid fanbase and T-Rob if they keep him.
