I'd be mad if his rights were worth anything at this point. However, I just don't see him ever coming over. I mean, he'd be ~34 years old at the very least coming to the NBA for the first time. Good riddance, I'm sure that the Magic made many attempts to either get him here or move his rights for some kind of asset.

i want Danny Granger.

The only point to keeping his rights was in case a team offered a 2nd for them or just to give him no other NBa options after he screwed this franchise the way he did.

Nope. As an ACB follower (at that time) I was hoping we'd pick him.
And we did.
And I was probably the only one excited around here and I secretly think Otis was really good at talent evaluation.

Yeah I was a bit surprised and happy, that Granger was there at 11, I thought any of the 3 teams ahead of us would take him, NYK, GSW and LAL. When they didn't, I was thinking Granger is ours. And then Otis f***ed it all up and took Fran. :banghead:

I want to hold his rights as long as possible so playing for another NBA team is never an option.

If The Magic need to renounce his rights to make a roster move, they should do it though.
