And in the beginning there was Jarl, and in the end Thompandry.

Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end.

We gave up a first rounder too though and swap rights in the first in two drafts. Not sure about this now

If we're a playoff team it doesn't matter.... But how do the Kings trade a 2018 1st when we still owe the Bulls?

We will be drafting behind them anyhow...we can't trade a 1st so you must mean Stauskas?

Oh wait... It says swap rights to 2 future drafts... So they get to use those when they want... Damn.

Question. Is Darren Collison on the trading block?

@ZachLowe_NBA: Sixers will receive a protected 1st-round pick from the Kings, and swap rights w/ Sacto in the 1st round of two other drafts, sources say.

Still waiting for all the details to come out but the trade went from initially tought to be Thompson and Landry pure salary dump to original + Staukus, Future 1st, 2 future pick swaps. ****. Hope more news comes out with other terms. Dont make the Billy King mistake

Over on the Mavs board, we're worried that we might once again miss out (for the 4th offseason in a row) on our primary FA "big fish" targets and head for either a rebuild year or, even worse, just missing the playoffs and not even having a first round pick.

...but if this move by Sacramento is to clear cap room for a Rondo + Ellis backcourt, then I could care less about what the Mavs do. The hilarity of that will make our offseason worth it.

Yeah, I know.

The Kings are putting everything into this FA year, they are going all in. They had to do something RIGHT NOW to put a legit team around Cousins & Rudy.

It's risky but I understand it.

The 1st round pick & swap option won't matter that much if the Kings are a playoff-bound team .

God I hope the Kings don't do that.....

I feel like this is a precursor to signing Rondo and Josh Smith. Nothing else makes sense.

@ZachLowe_NBA: Saric is not in the Kings-Sixers deal, sources say. Philly receives top-10 protected SAC pick 2 years after SAC's obligation to CHI expires
