I'd do that in a heart beat if we completely strike out this FA.

How?

We can absorb like 20 million.

I guess...and while I salute your inner Joe D and I know your mad about Danny Green, why would we want Lee for 1 year? How does he make us better and improve spacing? Also GS stated they work work with Lee to find a great SnT Partner. I don't see Lee agreeing to come here especially to come off the bench.

We need a big. I like Looney.

Come to think of it, teams buy late first rounders in the draft for 3 million all the time.

No way we pay the cost of Lee's salary just to get the 30th pick in the draft.

What we are hearing over in Warriorsland is that the "hip" injury is really sciatica, which is actually a back problem. I don't know how severe the sciatica is. I have it myself on and off and for me it's easy to treat - just do my hamstring stretches regularly for a couple of weeks and I'm fine. But more serious cases can require surgery.

I would completely agree before the draft. But now it's no longer the 30th pick. It's Looney. If you like Looney more than having a pick 30, then it may be enough for taking on one year of Lee. Lee is also actually useful, and a good guy to play with young players because he passes the ball - and it's always good for young players to play with a willing passer.

I use to hate on him a lot as a starter but I love him as a backup. I'd like him to just stay on the Warriors next season but it's not my money, and I don't think Joe Lacob wants to spend 45 million on Lee (which is what he would cost us once you throw in the lux tax on his salary).

But it's all moot if you aren't under the cap enough to take him without sending a player back. If his salary is coming back the trade is pointless for the Warriors.
