Clarkson is 23. Monta was 20 and became 21 in year two. Monta played 77 games, started over half the year, and averaged 17ppg in 34mpg. Monta was ahead of Clarkson, well ahead as a youth on both ends

And Monta still hasn't figured out how to make teams better instead of worse

Can't go to war with a bunch of greenhorns. We need some veterans to provide leadership and to challenge for minutes. The kids won't develop properly, otherwise.

The MAvs missed the playoffs for the first ime in forever the season before Monta came and got them back in it ... try again

Re: monta ellis have it all
That had more to do with Dirk missing 30 games than Monta being there. Try again.

Re: monta ellis have it all
fair to say we have enough chuckers (Nick Young alone fills that quota) adding Monta doesn't help our efficiency at all

Signed with the Pacers for 4yrs/$44 mill. Looking like a bargain.

exactly what we didn't need, a no defense inefficient combo guard.

We don't deserve proven talent, yet. You'd have to be an idiot to sign here right now! Who would go to a team with Kobe having 3 major injuries in 3 straight seasons, Randle who played 15 min, Clarkson who looks solid but is no world-beater, and a rookie in Russell.
Maybe they like Nance's twitter feed? I don't see the draw, boys.
This one is all locked up!
