Hey guys, can we throw a strike? Please? Even Keuchel last night had bad location with his pitches, wtf.

Damn that first inning was so frustrating to watch. 43 pitches and 3 walks from Velasquez, very lucky to just be tied 1-1.

The Seattle announcers just mentioned a pretty terrible stat about our lineup in this series so far:

So far through these 3 games, our hitters have combined for only 3 walks while striking out 45 times.

13 K's, 0 BB on Friday
15 K's, 1 BB on Saturday
2 K's, 1 BB through 4 innings today

HR's are nice and all, but it'd be even nicer to see guys get on base more consistently.

Singleton up, Qualls to the DL:

First baseman Jon Singleton, who has torched the Pacific Coast League this season, will get another crack in the majors. The Astros called up the lefthanded slugger Friday from Class AAA Fresno after placing veteran reliever Chad Qualls on the 15-day disabled list.

Singleton, 23, is leading the PCL with 17 home runs and 66 RBIs over 70 games at Fresno.

...

Qualls (1-4 with a 5.11 ERA) was placed on the disabled list retroactive to Thursday.

“He has basically a pinched nerve in his trap and right side of his neck,” Luhnow said of Qualls. “It’s not anything to be worried about, but he’s going to miss some time.

“He’s going to need some rest. We really hope that he recuperates quickly because we do need a healthy, effective Chad Qualls in the second half.”

Luhnow is optimistic that Qualls will be ready to come off the disabled list after his 15 days are up.

Two dominant wins against the Royals, going for the sweep tonight! Keuchel was outstanding yet again.

I'm curious which would win in a fight to the death: Keuchel's beard or Beard's beard?

Tough call.

What a fantastic game tonight! It had a real playoff feel to it!

I'm a Neshek fan.

As for Keuchel vs. Harden - all that matters is All Is Beard!

Springer to the 15-day DL with a right wrist fracture.

It really sucks we won't get to see Springer hit one over the Monster this weekend, but I am going to miss his defense in CF more than his bat. Damn, we really need to get Rasmus/Marisnick back soon.

Looking forward to seeing how Straily does tonight against the Sawx.

Bullpen screwing us in the ass tonight so far, damn. Altuve had the huge hit to put us up by two runs and now they're going to blow it.

This has been a really fun game so far tonight, back and forth all night. I just hope the good guys can somehow come out with the W.

LOL why would Hanigan throw to 2nd to try to catch Singleton stealing when we have a runner on 3rd? Thank you for the gift run Boston.

:D

McCullers can't throw strikes today, not a good start.

Battle of the Bullpens now. Credit to McCullers getting through 5 IP only giving up 1 run.

Tucker robbed of a HR earlier due to the wind blowing in, now robbed of an easy extra base hit by none other than Michael Bourn.

Touche, Mr. Bourn. For what it's worth, I enjoyed watching you as an Astro while you were here, so never do that again, thanks.
