if the time passes he'd be virtually untradeable except to the dumbest of gm's. we already have one of them, so who's left?

A lot of people acting like Crawford isn't still a baller. I'm sure there are a lot of teams that would be interested in his services, and at a pretty friendly contract at that, for someone who's always in the talks of sixth man of the year. I understand where all the hate is coming from right now, but he can still play at a high level and has a unique skill set that a lot of players don't have. Let's not forget all the good he's done for this team.

Having said that, he should be traded and Stephenson should take up his role.

I could see the Raps eventually biting on Crawford. Don't see Lou going back.

Raps are hard to read, they could trade Lowry and Derozan and go into full rebuild mode anytime now, or bring the band back together for another season. In any case, I don't see them givin us Patterson or Ross for Jamal. If they would, what the f*ck are you doin Doc, pick up that damn phone and type them Canadian digits!!

yeah i could see a full on rebuild. it was somewhat delayed by a year cause raps played so well for most of season. ujiri is brilliant and i see them being reworked completely. derozan and lowry aren't going to bring them anywhere.

Jamal's expiring must still have value to other teams. Don't know who would be interested. Patterson would be an awesome fit though. He's been great for the Raps as the stretch big. Don't know if a couple 2nds are enough to get it done. Or we could just trade him into the exception from the DJ-Tyson Chandler sign-and-trade. Ujiri might want the extra cap space.

I will gladly take the original offer of Birdman and Shabazz. compared Ennis to Hamilton and we are probably better off re-signing Jordan Hamilton to a minimum deal as well.

We hold team options on them. We would have to pick them up in order to trade them.
Plus, why would I want to go to the NBA? Duke players suck in the pros.

The team options don't have to be picked up pre-trade. They can be traded and the receiving team can decide if they want to pick up the options or not. I believe their options have later pickup dates.

You're right, I was thinking Hamilton was a team option, but he's non-guaranteed this season. Hudson has a four day window to be traded and waived.

I'd love Perry. He was awesome before his injury last year

There were rumors we were targeting him during the trade deadline. The Hornets got Jeremy Lamb for basically cap space at the end of the day so I'm sure we could get Perry Jones for something

Jones and Novak for Jamal? Gives them scoring off the bench which has been a problem for them since Harden left. Too bad they have Presti and we have Doc or this trade might happen

Let's be real though, Perry Jones is just not a very good player. "Before injury" was 5 games where he averaged 15/4 and shot 46/33 with 2 tov. 5 games is nothing, so I'd put him at the bottom of the list of guys to go after

We are at the bottom of the list already though. If we get Wes Johnson or Dorell Wright they're gonna play as little as CDR did last year. Perry Jones too probably, but he at least has a small chance of fulfilling his upside and step up into a better player, as small as that might be. The guys we were talking about getting for the minimum are getting MLE type of contracts, and we're not getting Chandler or something like that for Crawford.

I have no problem with him replacing the usual bench suspects in guys like Hedo, but it would be good to get him and another guy that has had a little more consistent albeit, not inspiring production in his NBA career

I'd go after Adams rather than Jones and Novak. Might take a bit more than Jamal to shake that loose
