Continuity is also important. Keep Zaza, Bayless & Mayo around unless something great materializes. Kidd plays a lot of guys, dudes get injured. It's a nice luxury that heavy rotation guys last season (Bayless, Zaza) are now third stringers. They'll all be needed.

Get rid of Jorge, Ennis, JOB. Bring in Marshall, he isn't that great of a player but his IQ, passing, good attitude, and locker room/bench presence is most important.

Agree totally except for Bayless. Didn't like his game nor demeanor. Zaza, Dudley, and Mayo provide enough of that, to go with Henson, Middleton, Giannis, Jabari, and hopefully Marshall (guys who were with us from the beginning last year).

a Bayless/Plumlee package should return riches....

I'm not a huge fan of Bayless but I'd prefer him over Ennis because he's proven to be a competent NBA player. It's also an interesting dynamic that so many guys have their contracts expiring (Bayless,GV, Mayo, Henson, Zaza, Dudley). Should make for a competitive training camp.
Ennis/Plumlee might get us a decent stashed player or second rounder.

Ed Davis just signed with Portland. I think at this point the Lakers should just go all in on the tank and try to be the worst team in the league, that is their best play to try and keep their pick next year.
I wonder if they could remove Byron Scott and wrestle Larry Drew away from the Cavs to make sure they are the absolute worst?

Surprised at all the "get rid of Ennis" type posts. Only 20 years old and hasn't had even close to a full season in any consistent coaching environment. I'm not dumping him just to bring in a slightly more expensive Marshall fresh off an ACL tear. Besides, drafting Vaughn indicates that our focus is still very much on the future. Patience is sometimes required.
Bayless and Plumlee should be the odd men out. Their cheap expiring contracts should hold value with all these teams trying to squeeze their payrolls under the cap.

Could be wrong on Ennis, I just watch a lot of NBA basketball & last season I felt like I was watching a non NBA player. Not a great sign that the Suns traded him so quickly. Understand he's young. We'll see.

Adrian Wojnarowski @WojYahooNBA
Sources: If Mavs miss on DeAndre Jordan, it's expected talks with Indiana on Monta Ellis-Roy Hibbert centered sign-and-trade will happen.
if this happens.....Bayless/Henson for Indy's 2016 1st top 10 protected. anyone?

ESPN sources say Monta Ellis and Indiana Pacers have agreed on a four-year, $44 million with an option to return to free agency after Year 3
Gross
in a free agency where Aminu and Shump got 40 mil you find that gross? Let's not act like he wasnt a solid player for Dallas until the Rondo trade

What is Dallas doing? They have to land RoLo right? With out looking I can't think of who else is on their team besides Dirk and JJ Barea. What the hell do they do now?

If he wants to sign with us, nothing wrong with bringing in Marshall to compete with Ennis. If Marshall can beat him outright and Ennis hasn't improved I'm fine with keeping Marshall over Ennis. Marshall's game ages well so don't care if he is slightly older.

Marshall being ready to come back confuses me even more on why we brought in Vasquez, I like Marshall better

I feel bad for Dirk. The guy took a huge pay cut so he could try and win one last title with.......Chandler Parsons and Roy Hibbert?
For as great of an owner as Cuban has been, he's struck out hard the last two offseasons.

It's not the money, it's the fact that (assuming he isn't traded) he's going to be a Pacer for 4 years. I'd be pissed if I was one of their fans. I'm just not a Monta fan.
