Re: The Tobias Harris Situation
Bucks fan here, just curious if anyone has heard if Skiles wants to bring him back? I know he was one of the driving forces that wanted him out MIL. Be interesting if that relationship can be repaired, Skiles has a very short leash.

I squandered an asset? Then Hammond taught me well.

You can Google and find some quotes saying the relationship wasn't as bad as it seemed. You can also find dubious sauces that say otherwise.
I don't have links, but I remember Skiles said he's been in contact with Tobias during his time away from coaching. He also hinted that the time off has helped him absorb some lessons about coaching, like things he could've done better. Maybe he mellowed out just a tad like SVG.
It's hard to tell what's true. But the Tobias relationship is pretty low on my long list of concerns/hopes/dreams about the team in general.

There doesn't seem to be an issue there between the two of them. I think both understand that it was 4 years ago and Harris was a young player wanting minutes and Skiles didn't feel he was ready. Both have issued statements to the effect that there is no issue, and even "sources" say they same.
Every once in a while you'll get some reporter halfway across the country bringing it up again though.

@FmrTankCommandr: Tobias' might be getting a humbling. Might not be being offered max. Hoping that when teams strike out they'll throw cash his way instead. <~Exactly. Can't tell the Tobias stalkers this though. Putting up some points and rebounds on this trash is the delusion.

Tobias maybe doesn't deserve the max, but if guys like Khris Middleton and Brandon Knight are getting 5/$70m, then he deserves to be somewhere close to that, which really isn't far away from a max deal.

Re: The Tobias Harris Situation
In Kevin Pelton's chat today, he mentioned he's projected Tobias to be worth about 14-15M/yr going forward. So there's some support for the price tag, and overpaying by a couple million isn't the end of the world.

Hearing that Tobias Harris may be closing in on a deal he'd agree to, team still unclear, but he's made progress towards a deal

I think that applies to 99% of Kyler's tweets.

Can't stand him, King of covering his butt with ambiguity, plus a lot of his comments are snarky/uppity.

He won't say who because he was asked not to say who, but he knows.
The amount of bull tweets that get flung at him by couch jockey GM's is fascinating and watching him reply to them is entertaining. Who gives a damn if they are snarky.
I think Tobias signs the offer sheet in the next day now that everything has died down and the Magic will match, since there honestly is no reason not to at this point.

My problem with him, and the reason I don't follow him, is that he spams tweets. And no, his tweets don't contain substance to justify the level of spamming he does.

Same. 95% of his tweets are replies to random people.... and he makes sure every tweet he responds to, and there are a ton of them each day, goes out to EVERYBODY. Ruins timelines unless you're only following him (what a sad feed that would be).

Hahaha, I'm following roughly 80 writers on my basketball only Twitter account, but it feels like Kyler is the only one I'm following.

It's weird that Kyler phrased it as "deal he would agree to." That doesn't sound like the max.
(Cue a stream of mysterious posts indicating that it is!)

On the bright side... because he's so engaged with his followers, you know he ends up reading every negative tweet that goes his way and it can be entertaining when he replies to them.
