Love Wesley, but that's an insane offer for him coming off Achilles.

Free Agency Thread -Non Monroe FA talk

We had a great day. The Kings had a day that was comically bad. I feel like they are trolling Seattle right now.

Looks like the Knicks have locked up RoLo depending on what happens with Deandre. I'll be interested to see what he gets in comparison to money and years to what Chandler got from Phoenix. Regardless, NY can keep the B- tier FA's.

Knicks netted RoLo, Porzingus, and Afflolo. Lake show get Russell. Bucks end up with Middleton, Monroe, Vasquez, and Vaughn. Not looking bad for Smallwaukee.

So far I have
In:
Monroe
Vasquez
Vaughn

Out:
Ilyasova
Dudley

So far it's been a great off season. Just a few more small pieces...

I think RoLo wants to live close to his brother that's a big part why he chose the Knicks, they will be together in the same city.

Only just saw that Aron Baynes got 3 years/$20m.

I'm an Aussie and even I doubt the value of that deal.

Pistons off-season is unusual again.

Yet he has turned it down to sign with the Mavs.

No one wants to touch SAC right now, no matter how much money is thrown their way.

That franchise is crashing and burning.

yeah its pretty baffling they would pay assets to dumb the Thompson and Landry contracts without having the free agents they planned on signing locked up first. Just doesn't make sense.

It is almost comprehensible how bad their off-season has been so far. Coach and Front Office pushing different agendas. First Round Pick with an injury that will likely require surgery. Trade last years pick, plus future picks to clear contracts. FA running scared from higher paying offers.

Will the league have to step in here? Do they rescind the 76ers trade?

I'm scared to look at what their roster is looking like at the moment. Do they have much more than Gay, Cousins and McLemore?

This honestly makes me laugh. I'd rather catch alley-oops from Paul and Griffin over anything on the Mavs roster. Dirk is 37 years old ffs. How does their future look any better ?

Not sure why DJ is considering the Mavs then. The Clippers roster is better now and looks to be in the future. If he wanted to go to a team with a bright future he should've came here. :D

Future prospects. He wants a championship. When Duncan leaves, how much will that affect his chances? Clearly a lot in his mind.

Bledsoe and Knight were part of the meeting to bring Aldridge in. That's pretty important in the grand scheme in terms of saying here's two young guys were building around. SA is ready to win now, but that whole dynamic could change as soon as Duncan leaves, whether Popovich leaves with him. It could come down to Bledsoe + Knight vs Leonard
they are also selling that with chandler and len he would NEVER have to play center. And trying to sell that if he wins in Phoenix he would be a god here where as he'd always be in the shadow of past champs in sa. Not sure if it will work but that's what they are selling.

Plus phoenix is a nice place to live in the winter and the club scene in Scottsdale is pretty fun :)

First person in the history of the Internet to type "club scene in Scottsdale."

Scottsdale has it going on. Barkley ad Shaq still party here. I see Aldridge choosing Phx if he wants to win like Monroe does. Don't know his status single/married? if that matters lol. He will choose LA if he cares for the money/women more than basketball.

I would love Ray Allen on this team. Just can't see it happening but wow that would be cool.

Chuck Diesel are there any quality International guys we could look at to play a role, that are not currently in the NBA? i.e. Teletovic, D'atome etc?

Only 3 plausible explanations exist that can explain what is happening in SAC:

1)He is for some reason trying to emulate the movie Major League

2)He is trying to make the team so bad and embarrassing that the other investors/owners will sell him their shares for dirt cheap just to stop being associated with him and the team

3)He is trying to embarrass the team so much that the other investors/owners/fans will pay him anything to sell his ownership shares, thereby allowing him to make an insane profit
