I'm not really that upset over losing Mathews. The thing that bothers me is that we made that 6ers trade with absolutely no contingency plans. Those are the types of trades you make when you have other deals lined up and then shop around to clear cap. This is like some type of bizzaro world dream land. Someone wake me up.

I hope it works for the Mavs, but he was not a guarantee, he was a bigger mystery than his unknown wait and see mystery check to come.

At least we didn't get a guy who is done and not realize it till it was too late.

I think we went in assuming if we offered him so much money there would be no way he would turn it down. I am not to upset because his is coming off a major injury and I am not sure that he was gonna bounce back to full form.

Can anyone update with remaining FAs that can actually make a difference if we sign them?

I don't believe now that he ever had any intention of coming here. He wanted to get the kings to put out a big offer to get the most from TOR or DAL. And you know what, it's part of the game and I can't hate a guy for playing it. I went thru it with the Raiders this yr too. Sucks but you can only do what you can do.

He Iguodala'd the Kings. Wes used the Kings as leveraged and never planned signing with us at all.

To spin this in a positive way, maybe the remaining guys can use this as motivation in an us vs. them kind of way.

All due respect to Matthews, at 15 mil for four years is a risk for someone who just had a season ending injury to his Achilles tendon. Who's to say how effective he will be once he returns to action this fall. That's now the Mavs bag to hold, not the Kings. BTW, the latest move has been one of the better ones I seen from the Kings in recent memory. About time someone had the gonads to do something extreme for the better of the franchise.

Pregame material is always nice...but it hasn't worked for us in a long while. Lol. Maybe lights a fire under Bens butt too.

Okay I am a big WM fan. Pre injury he was one of the best two way guards, not exaggerating. Post injury who knows...but I have no clue why he chose a thin and aging Dallas team. They're a stable and well ran franchise...but he could of walked in and been the unsung hero with less pressure to be the man.

wasnt worth risk anyways

I'm just concerned at this point we are so blacklisted paying a premium isn't going to get adequate players here

No Rondo and certainly no overpaying him please

I don't know WHAT Vlade was thinking offering 15 million for him. Dude was about to make more than Cousins and Rudy!.......to be the third option on the team??! I'm happy we dodged that bullet.

We need to go for Lou Williams (as I was saying from jump street). Bring in Kosta and Tobias along with Rondo.

WCS/Kosta
Cousins/Tobias
Rudy/Casspi/Anderson
Ben/Lou
Rondo/Collison/Andre

Or rebrand the whole thing and form the "Nasty Boys" ....team that has fire swag and toughness

Cousins/Kosta
Smoove/WCS
Rudy/Casspi
Ben/J.R
Rondo/Collison/Andre

What? Not before we had interest in him and he decided to come for a visit.

Tobias Harris won't sign here either.

Yes Dallas was considered the front runner before he even came to visit Sacramento. Wes had already visited them and they offered him a contract. Toronto, as well.
