This wait is killing me. I bet Riley and LMA are still finishing up their dinner talk/date which will soon leaad to Riley's bedroom mansion. :o so, if that occurs LMA is pretty much a Heat.

Whenever I tweet the Suns they always respond back. Paul Coro too. Dudley as well. Even Larry Fitzgerald (I tweeted em one time, he responded once). It's not hard to communicate with your fans now a days and I'm sure they read all their tweets (or most of em, lol.)

You should tweet something negative to Kieff so he can respond within a minute.

WONDER TWINS! FORM OF TEARS OF SEPARATION!
SHAZAM!

Suns traded Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, Jae Crowder and 4 1st round picks and a swap so some Vegas Bookies would like us.

Isn't the cap possibly going up $2 million more than expected though? That would allow us to keep Archie and Booker, correct?

Yes, but it's not because of the cap. Those rules above only applies to players that we sign or trade for. We can keep Archie and Booker regardless of what the cap is. We can even resign them to hypothetical max deals if they were RFA because we have their rights. That's why we can resign B-Knight to a 70/5 (exceeding the cap) even after Chandler and Aldridge have signed, and why Cleveland can afford three max contracts plus Tristan Thompson at 5/80, Shumpert at 4/40, Haywood at 10, Varejao at another amount.

Not talking about bird rights at all. I'm asking if having 2 mill more in cap space means we can avoid including either in a S&T for Chandler.

For instance, if the extra 2 mil put us "under the cap", we'd have to trade even dollars to remain under the cap, correct?

If the extra 2 mil was there and we were still "over the cap", we'd have to still trade within $5 mil.

So I'm wondering if the extra 2 mil would help us at all. A strict reading of the rules suggests no, but intuitively it should save us from having to get rid of $2 mil.

Oh, my mistake. Sorry. I could be incorrect in all this, but I digress:

I don't see how having 2 million increase in the cap would change what I said two responses ago though. So, Booker or Goodwin would have to be traded in the above scenario to make salaries match. The Suns are under the cap (currently), so for salaries sent out less than 9.8 million$ they can acquire up to 150% of that. The trading with 5 mil ONLY applies to outgoing salaries of 9.8-19.6 million.

In summary,
Leuer + Tucker + Mcneal = 7.38 mil, the maximum incoming salary is 11.07 mil
Leuer + Tucker + Mcneal + Booker = 9.15, the maximum incoming salary is 13.72 mil

Goodwin makes a little less than Booker, so swapping him above in a deal should work as well.

Dudley is an exception as he's the most affable player in the NBA if not all sports lol. But Paul Coro and Dudley are not nearly as popular as LMA lol.

I don't know, if I was LMA making such a big decision I would probably want to tune out all the social media cacophony

Wouldn't it be better to start rumours about Popovich retiring, if Spurs aren't 20-5 by Christmas.

I would make a move for Gallinari and W.Chandler when/if Aldridge says No to Suns.

Morris + Tucker for Chandler + Gallinari

C: Chandler / Len
PF: Gallinari / Leuer
SF: Chandler / Warren
SG: Knight / Booker
PG: Bledsoe / Goodwin

Gallinari is not a good rebounder nor post defender, but the two Chandlers make up for it.

Since we've clearly gone the road of playoffs/contention as opposed to rebuilding, I would do that deal 1Upz. I think I'd want Faried too, but that's too much salary coming back.

Hmmm.
Ideally if Wilson Chandler can be swapped for Faried... I'd do that.

Faried + Gallinari for Morris + Tucker + Cavs 2016 pick (to entice Nuggets)

Suns purged by the "taint" of 2014-2015 season and start a fresh.

C: Chandler / Len
PF: Faried / Leuer
SF: Gallinari / Warren
SG: Knight / Booker / Goodwin
PG: Bledsoe / Goodwin

Run and Gun with defense + rebounding and fast ball movement.

Blazers are losing players left to right. LMA, Matthews, Lopez and Batum. When was the last time a team lost 4 out of 5 starters from previous year? This is truly mind-boggling to see it happen.

That roster doesn't look half bad. Our frontcourt is lacking a ton of offense though. We'd probably need to find a third team to send Kieff to.

Before all this trades I wanted us to go hard after Butler and Matthews but since it didn't happen I'll be five times more than happy with Chadler&LMA.

Ugh, this whole thing is a mess. If the suns get LMA, we have to gut our bench to get both him and Chandler.

If we dont get him, then we are left with either Chandler and no PF (Markieff being traded to get him) or Chandler and a puss of a PF (Markieff)

Not saying that i dont trust McD, but there are way to many things that need to be done that i just cant even wrap my mind around how we'll accomplish it....especially knowing that there is nobody around to leak any info. its too stressful as a fan.

I think at the end of the day we will, as fans, either marvel at what our FO has done with the circumstances at hand, or bury our heads in our hands.

All i know is that right now we played all of our cards extremely well. And the pieces will fall were they will.

if LA doesnt pick suns, suns dont need to trade to get Chandler... Suns sign him outright... Mavs Awant LA themselves but will settle for Kieff if they miss out, via S&T.

Blazers are toast unless LMA somehow comes back, and even then who's at SG and C?

Mavericks are done, they might struggle to field a 40 win team - no C, SG or PG right now. I could see them throwing crazy money at Koufos and maybe a guy like Reggie Jackson and hope DET doesn't match? Could see them going after Stuckey or Mo Williams too.

There's room to make a run at the playoffs - if we don't land LMA I'd throw a max at Tobias Harris, would mean we could keep Kieff I think?

TChandler
Kieff
Harris
Knight
Bledsoe

Len
Leuer
Tucker
Warren
Booker
Goodwin
PYoung?

Thin bench...need some vets

the thing with the magic is that they threw STUPID money at Milsap. They didnt land him, and matching any offer for Harris would be less than Milsap money. I really dont think that Harris goes anywhere now.

I really think the loser of LMA gets David West.

Interesting take on Spurs Plan B.
http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2513600-while-spurs-sit-and-wait-for-lamarcus-aldridge-plan-b-is-becoming-less-clear

We are in the same boat kind of. If we land LMA, this will be a huge hit to the Spurs. If Mavs land Jordan, that's a huge hit to the Clippers. Mavs getting Wes Mathews/Jordan would be a slight improvement to Ellis/Chandler, possibly a big improvement if the chemistry is there.
