@ESPNSteinLine
Our @ramonashelburne reports that the Kings & Marco Belinelli have struck a three-year deal at the midlevel. Good maiden get for Vlade Divac

Actually Shelburne reported 3 years, $19 million. That's more than the MLE (AKA: More than we could offer).

Minimum starting salary in a deal with this structure is just over $6m, of course the best we can do is the $5.464m MLE.

Good news. Didn't want a Spur to deter Cliff from playing the right players. Cliff prolly woulda tried to make Belly a star.

3 yr, 6 mil per for Belinelli is horrid. Another great move by the Kings. Bel was a bit hidden in the Spurs and basically becomes a much more expensive Stauskas.

So they spent on Belinelli because Rondo asked for a shooter. Interesting.

Kind of amusing to have Rondo steering personnel decisions, but yeah you need shooters if he's coming aboard.

So the guy that signs for one year, demands a shooter to sign so they sign the shooter for 3 years. Makes sense.
