The Lakers are calling to "touch base"? Considering they already got to fit the all rookie teamer and heralded #2 in a backcourt with Kobe, what are they thinking? Even hoping that Rondo just signs for one year with the Kings is a little desperate.

Rondo's saga has taken some ugly turns of late. As it is clear he is not going to be resigning with Dallas, the team that always comes up is the Lakers. And at some substantial dollars.

Rondo is the kind of player you put up with if you are one piece away from winning it all, the talent is there.

On a team with young talent that are trying to find their way in the NBA, an abrasive locker room type like Rondo is a death sentence. Not worth the risk even on a vet minimum contract, we want our rookies to learn to play the right way and grow in a team positive atmosphere.

Rondo is obviously not the type to put up with since the Mavs dropped him. The Mavs had one of the top offenses until Rondo came and blew it up. Rondo sucks in every situation.

It's kind of a mystery what happens to rondo in the league at this point. i doubt any team covets him. He certainly isn't going to be paid handsomely after last year.

He should go to Philly, and run those young kids around, for two years. It's not like they have a real backcourt or structure.

I can't possibly see Russell/Clarkson/Kobe/Rondo and probably someone else being a very good idea.
