Maybe we don't want to come off as too needy or whatever? I guess since Pop asked for the meeting, there was a bit of concern from his side (okay, that's my opinion), but it's still annoying that LMA met with him. It's like seeing your crush go to lunch with another guy. It doesn't mean she hates you or doesn't want to be with you, just means that some other guy is trying hard to court her and she's willing to see what he has to offer. Sucks.

Well earlier it was mentioned he may make other trips to places. I don't think second meetings and begging is too appealing. You have to be confident with what you laid out. At least that's the way it works with chicks. Maybe Aldridge wants people to beg.

Aldridge likes free food and wine. Hell If I was an NBA player Ild meet with as many teams as possible to get fed. Ild even meet with the 76-ers

All I will say is if we lose out to the Spurs and the reason that sold LMA was that 2nd meeting with Pop I'll be very disappointed we didn't do everything we could to secure him.

I feel good about our chances, but would've felt even better had we had a 2nd meeting to ensure him he's making the right decision.

Pop wanted this meeting. He's not known to kiss ass. They must feel some kind of pressure from the suns

Plot twist, Popovich met with LMA to discuss why Suns are the best option. Popovich plans on being head coach for Phoenix once Duncan retires.

We have cap space to sign Aldridge outright, with about $1mil or so in cap space remaining

Would this be possible:

Tucker/Leuer for Haywood. I'm not sure if part of Haywood's contract can be absorbed with our available cap space BEFORE the 150% + $100,000 rule is in effect. If it can, then this trade can go through.

Then we can do one of two things with Haywood.

a.) Three teamer. Haywood goes to Washington....Nene to Dallas.....and Chandler to Phoenix with a S&T. Washington is trying to clear Nene so they can sign West. Haywood would be released, as his contract is non-guaranteed. Dallas would get a big man to backup Jordan/Dirk and is expiring.

b.) Haywood/2nd to Dallas. If Dallas just wants to keep the cap space open or use Haywood as a trade chip, then they might just want his contract.

How much does Haywood make?

Haywood makes $10.5mil. Even if we have something like $1mil in cap space. We'd absorb his figure down to $9.5mil

Tucker/Leuer = $6.535mil. 150%+$100,000 of that is $9.9mil

So in theory his number just fits.

Pops is that annoying used car salesman that just won't give it up.

This is how I feel about him.

Why no 2nd meeting for us? Was the 1st one so perfect that there's no need for another? I don't understand...

I hope not. I can't keep living like this. I'm currently addicted to checking my phone every 2 seconds and i can't stop until I find out his decision.

My boys..doing their part!!

honestly could go a long way. Clearly Cowboys players can't tell em to go to SA when they got the Mavericks in Dallas. Could help motivate em knowing football players are even advocating this move. Fitzgerald needs to do his part, we should all send a tweet to Fitz to do his part too.
