Orl jumped the shark here and ruined the rebuild.

So it looks like the Lakers have lost out on every first or second tier free agent now :( Harris would have been a great fit on a young Lakers squad.

16 a year?? Yeah I'm cool with Marcus Morris for 5 a year. Still, Orlando had to keep the kid. They are in a similar boat as us.. They are looking at being a playoff team.

Tobias still has room to grow. I like his game.

He seems solid, but plays abit of that Carmelo ball stopping game, we are looking for a fast paced offence with alot of passing and good D. Which to be honest Harris brings little of both.

Was hoping he'd come to Boston but, guess developing James Young and RJ Hunter isn't a bad idea.

Nice deal. A good young player who will be a primary scorer for Orlando.

How did they ruin the rebuild? He is 22 years old and improving. Not to mention the cap is going to sky rocket in the coming years so this deal will be normal.

16 a year is an overpay IMO. I just don't think he brings enough to the table to warrant that money.

Would have hated this deal last week, love this deal now. It's a brave new world folks.

Yep, there is no way we could just let him walk for nothing.

Harris is an interesting case - solid and improving box-score stats with bad +/- stats. He's young enough to possibly grow into his box-score stats and crude 'eye test' reviews and become a star but has also been around long enough that that level of improvement is unlikely.

My gut says that he's the next Jeff Green, with people making justifications for him not being effective (should play PF, should play SF, should have a bigger offensive role, should only be a 3rd/4th option, etc).

Really nothing else they could have done with all the other contracts handed out.

It is normal for teams who pay the max to guys not in the top 40 in talent or applied game(and one of the worst defenders in the league) to never win a championship. He is the sixth most talented guy on that roster. This was a mistake.

Why sign him now? wait for the offersheet. Orl worked against themselves.

I, personally, would've rather let him walk. Or try and get something in a S&T, but I know that doesn't happen often.

I think Aaron Gordon could be our eventual 3, I loved the idea of signing Millsap. Gordon just has a much higher ceiling than Tobias especially as a 2 way player.

What lol he's already a big time scorer and of course he still has time to improve.

if you waited until he signed an offer sheet, he would have trade stipulations. Now he has none. Maybe I am looking into it too much.
