And what is Portland thinking? They trade for Vonleh and Plumlee... but don't have a SF on the roster. Guess they are waiting to see where LA is going to land and do a sign and trade?

SG: Henderson, Crabbe

Tobias Harris extended for 4/64.. that's a very good deal.
I'm praying Beal agrees to something somewhat similar but that's highly unlikely

Kind of surprised that Aldrige agreed to a 4 year deal. He's going to be on the sidelines for both of the upcoming cap bumps.

Aldridge has an opt out after 3 years. And the Spurs will take care of him. They always take care of their own. Aldridge, Leonard and Duncan is the best front line the NBA has seen in some time.

I'm not sure they "take care" of their own. With titles, yes. But financially? Other than Duncan, who have they really paid? Parker and Manu have never been close to the max, and these last few years they've been asking guys to take less.
There isn't anything I can think of that makes me think they will offer LMA a super max deal when he's 32/33 as a "thank you". More like "hey, ther's a star in his 20's we want to sign so we can keep competing, so we're gonna need you to take one for the team champ". And if they can keep getting guys to do that, more power to them. But as a UFA with such competition for his services, I'm just saying I would have thought Aldridge would have maximized his position.

Well, he's signing for close to the max right now. He's leaving almost $30 million on the table with the Blazers.
Plus, they just gave Kawhi the max for a player drafted in 2011.

Re: Discussing Other Teams' Moves Part 5
Parker got an extension. David Robinson was given a small % ownership stake when he retired. They don't overwork their players to maintain their health and prolong their careers. The Spurs don't hand out crazy contracts, but there is more to it than that. Did the Knicks take care of Amare?

He's made plenty of money over his career, winning actually does have an appeal to some players.

Re: Discussing Other Teams' Moves Part 5
I am watching the Haywood situation. They have to move him or cut him by 8/1 or be stuck paying him 10 mil. I would love to trade Webster and Sessions for Haywood to clear spots and cap room.
