I'm cool with taking a flyer on kj if it's a reasonable contract. Let him battle for win minutes and if he's and Warren look ready trade tucker at some point.

I'd be cool kicking the tires on Anthony Bennet if he could be had for a 2nd rounder.

One vet I'd be OK with is McRoberts if Miami is looking to clear him off the books.

The last all star free agent to sign with us was Steve Nash but even he wasn't highly sought after at the time and even then we had two quality players gained through the draft in Marion and Stoudemire and another obtained via trade Joe Johnson.

Grant Hill called to say hello. Wasn't Chandler on the Allstar team in 2013?

McRobert's contract is actually pretty good.

Good point. I guess he made the logical decision. I just hope that as Windhorst said yesterday we get major props from other FA about how we competed neck and neck with a championship caliber team albeit on their last legs. We literally came out of nowhere and creating major talking points.

He compared our franchise to the Clippers after getting a meeting with Lebron and how everyone was shocked. Do you think we now have a chance with big name players? Maybe this has changed everything

Jesus some of you. I picture a 5yo laying on his back in the middle of the floor flailing and kicking. L.A. choose the dark side.... **** IT... keep moving. Good that we got rid of the bad sister Granger and Bullock... defines roles at sf better..Warren gets time to shine.... Tyson is still a good signing.... David Lee is not the worst option with defensive bigs like Len and Chandler around him but you arent going to give up kief to get him, they would have to pay us to take him. Lee is smart skilled and a real pro.

Our next and biggest task is going to be assessing kiefs reaction to his troubled sister getting traded.... does he buy back into the team or is he gonna be a bitch... if he buys in... then he starts...bring in a guy like Bass or lee or hell even Amare for insurance. If he is hell bent on acting like some of you, and lays on his back kicking and screaming with his crying eyes closed.... then trade his bitch ass!! Use him and maybe assets to get some on with some promise.... t jones or demo come to mind.... there are others who could be available for the right price.

We have to be a what is next franchise. Sitting a d feeling sorry for yourself IS NOT PRODUCTIVE. You "I told you so".... and the sky is falling kats make this franchise hard to take. Women dwell on and bring up the past **** that cant be changed.... sit... sulk... wish it away... Men push the **** on and make the best of what's left!!!!! So woah is you if you are a whiney bitch.... I said not one name, so if you get that sting in the back of your throat..... WEAR THAT GOD DAMN SHOE!!! Sorry mods..... I like what we have done.... hope kief buys in... if not, wish him the best and hope we make a good deal based around him. I H.O.P.E!!! our team has renewed chemistry and plays together and fun again.

I think people are overreacting about Kief though I still think he gets moved. He is on a great contract but we should probably aim for the future and maximize on his value right now. Can Chandler keep him in check and is it worth our time?

Honestly, we need to look at teams that have two 'starter potential' PFs and trade for one, and when I say 'potential', I don't mean an older vet like Lee. Some one like, yes, I'll say it again, Sullinger, but there are some others out there--a guy like Bledsoe who might be stuck behind a star or a guy that's just a tad better.

We keep striking out at FA, and while I admire McD's gumption to go after these guys, we're gonna have to build through trades and the draft.

EDIT: Or RFAs--guys that will sign a 'max' contract that may not be worth a max, but this year's 'max' is next year's $10-12M salary.

isn't this true for most teams though? Heck the Lakers can't get anyone to take their money. The Knicks big fa aquisition is Robin Lopez.

Look at the contenders in the west. Golden states core is mostly made up if guys they drafted or traded for with iggy their biggest fa contributor and he's at about the level of Tyson chandler.

Okc is all draft. Memphis core is by draft and trade. Lma is the first big free agent San Antonio has signed in this 20 year run.

The clips were all draft and trade core and now just lost a big piece in free agency.

Dallas tried and failed to get a bunch of fa before landing parsons and Jordan the last 2 years.

Houston did get Dwight so are the exception.

Just putting it in perspective that it's not just phoenix who has a hard time building through free agency.

a penny for your thoughts, yet I'm giving my two cents.....consider the extra penny a tip :)

Nobody played us, LA did a friend (Watson) a favor...he made him a promise and followed through; he heard us out. Now maybe WE read too much into it and made it more of a possibility than it was....we'll never know, but it was a fun ride followed with a pinch of reality. Thanks for the opportunity LA! ...Good luck in San Antonio.

While Tyson does make the team better, not sure he makes the organization better. Yes, he'll bring defense, toughness and locker room presence. But he probably guarantees mediocrity with a large aging price tag. At some point, it may cost us an asset or two to get rid of him. But that's OK! I don't like the end result, but I sure do appreciate the hustle! It's that same creativeness and tenacity that will get this the next one. Great effort Mr. Sarver, McD and Suns Organization. In the meantime, welcome to Phoenix Mr. Chandler.

Call me a homer, but I think Warren and Booker will develop into solid contributors...I think at least one of them will become a borderline all-star type player. Which one? not sure, don't care, but please hurry :)

I'm not as sold on Len as most of you are.....I don't see an ELITE center or perennial all star...BUT, I do think he'll develop into a solid double-double starter for many years, health willing. That's an asset, especially in a age where true tough defensive minded centers are a rarity. Hope you guys are right on this one, but even my scenario is a very USEFUL one.

We have two talented borderline all-star quality hybrid point guards (say that 5 times fast :)) How do we insert two significant puzzle pieces with so many jagged edges? ...not sure, but if there's a way, I'm confident Jeff will figure it out!

So when my entire rant is done, it basically says: we have some issues, we have some assets. We've endured the most difficult part, so let's not let one setback define us as an organization or a fan base. The culture has been revamped and we are moving ever closer to that elusive O'Brien Trophy. Yes, the journey has been long, difficult and tiresome; but that will only make our arrival that much more exhilarating. Here's to an exciting healthy season Sun's fans ;)

Three points:

1. Why are there so many ellipses?

2. Why is hope an acronym?

3. In what universe does the fans' attitude change the team's productivity? A million fans feeling sorry for themselves is not going to change the activity in the FO or in the practice gym.

Yeah, it sucks to not get a big name, but the team we'd have with LMA is not better than the Blazers the last couple of years. Unfortunately we missed out on a really good tank year but oh well.

Here go my optimist side:

1. Chandler silences Keef
2. Hornacek gets a better handle on things
3. Knight and Bled develop well together
4. Warren blows up

Chandler and Hill aren't/weren't premiere free agents at the time of signing.

Besides the Mavs who else was really pushing hard to sign Chandler?

Have the suns actually revoked Brandan Wright's bird rights yet? Because that 3/18 looks damn good.

Return to Phoenix Suns
