Gosh, that's not very nice. I for one hope he remains in one piece.

The last all star free agent to sign with us was Steve Nash but even he wasn't highly sought after at the time and even then we had two quality players gained through the draft in Marion and Stoudemire and another obtained via trade Joe Johnson.

This is a total overreaction. LMA really significantly considered Phoenix. That is not "avoiding like the plague" Good grief.

Len is playing PF and Center with Kieff and Chandler, giver Leuer his back up mins and roll. I like Len in the LA role. Not so much a Gasol threat, but a shooting big. Warren will beast now Marcus is gone. Again, when Len is balling you guys will all be happy that we didn't sign LA and traded for Chandler and got rid of the 3 SFs.

Nobody played us, LA did a friend (Watson) a favor...he made him a promise and followed through; he heard us out. Now maybe WE read too much into it and made it more of a possibility than it was....we'll never know, but it was a fun ride followed with a pinch of reality. Thanks for the opportunity LA! ...Good luck in San Antonio.

While Tyson does make the team better, not sure he makes the organization better. Yes, he'll bring defense, toughness and locker room presence. But he probably guarantees mediocrity with a large aging price tag. At some point, it may cost us an asset or two to get rid of him. But that's OK! I don't like the end result, but I sure do appreciate the hustle! It's that same creativeness and tenacity that will get this the next one. Great effort Mr. Sarver, McD and Suns Organization. In the meantime, welcome to Phoenix Mr. Chandler.

Call me a homer, but I think Warren and Booker will develop into solid contributors...I think at least one of them will become a borderline all-star type player. Which one? not sure, don't care, but please hurry :)

I'm not as sold on Len as most of you are.....I don't see an ELITE center or perennial all star...BUT, I do think he'll develop into a solid double-double starter for many years, health willing. That's an asset, especially in a age where true tough defensive minded centers are a rarity. Hope you guys are right on this one, but even my scenario is a very USEFUL one.

We have two talented borderline all-star quality hybrid point guards (say that 5 times fast :)) How do we insert two significant puzzle pieces with so many jagged edges? ...not sure, but if there's a way, I'm confident Jeff will figure it out!

So when my entire rant is done, it basically says: we have some issues, we have some assets. We've endured the most difficult part, so let's not let one setback define us as an organization or a fan base. The culture has been revamped and we are moving ever closer to that elusive O'Brien Trophy. Yes, the journey has been long, difficult and tiresome; but that will only make our arrival that much more exhilarating. Here's to an exciting healthy season Sun's fans ;)

Yeah, it sucks to not get a big name, but the team we'd have with LMA is not better than the Blazers the last couple of years. Unfortunately we missed out on a really good tank year but oh well.

I share your same mindset. But from a front office perspective, I get it. You owe it to your fans to win NOW whenever possible. Our front office saw an opportunity and they ran with it. In the end they finished a little short, but it was a good race and encouraging to know we can once again compete with the big dogs of the NBA.

Any way we can give both of these guys a max deal? lol

Because that is the way that Rich Paul negotiates. He uses one of his clients to black mail and manipulate a team into over paying another of his clients.

Grant Hill while a big "name" at the time was not a major free agent. He was a 34 year old who had 6 injury riddled years in Orlando that signed a two year deal for the bi-annual exception. Tyson Chandler is a soon to be 33 year old on the downside of his career. Nash was the last major free agent in his prime that signed with the Suns that I can remember. I expect the team to be improved and compete for one of the last two-three playoff spots, whether or not they get one of those spots...

He has been successful every single time so why not keep doing it. Gilbert really has to open up his checkbook. Lebron probably reads Gilberts letter out loud everyday before he puts on his jersey

Suns ought to take a look at Bargnani. Once he came back from injury he played pretty well for the Knicks down the stretch. He even had four 25 point games. He is a 7 footer that can shoot out to the three. Jackson is trying to get him on a 1 year vet minimum deal. We could sign him for more and still only make it a year. Low risk, cheap.

Suns have missed the playoffs for five straight years. The one mainstay in four of those five years is Markieff Morris. He is currently the longest tenured Suns player and it is during their worst stretch in franchise history. If he is traded off the team, no one is going to say next year oh man, the team really misses Markieff. His excellent leadership skills and great rebounding are sorely missed! What a joke. All everybody talks about is his great contract. I feel like I am going insane when I hear that. Who cares how good someone's contract is if he does not help you win. The guy is not a damn winner. HE DOES NOTHING TO HELP YOU WIN. All he does is pout and blame everybody else but himself. That ain't leader and that is not a winner. I could go on and on about this but I am sure someone will tell me I am an idiot, his contract is gold, especially with the rising cap, and his mid-range game is elite, and he is only 25. I disagree with all of it.

Attitude problems
Inconsistent game
Blames the fans
Leads league in techs and argues with refs
Soft, not very athletic, and bad rebounder
Fought in college
Pending felony assault charges
Worst of all never takes personally responsibility and says I HAVE TO GET BETTER

Oh wait, I forgot, his contract is incredible. Right. Oh yeah. The best contract of all time. Give the Suns an award. He is a steal. Yes. Put up a banner in the arena that says do not worry about Markieff blaming you for losing by a zillion points to the Spurs, his contract is AMAZING.

The last two seasons he was above average.

Like a player, strictly player, I like Markieff like a third big on a good team. Coming of the bench and playing around 25 minutes oer game. But like a starting PF he is average at best to me. He needs next to him a tremendous rebounder/shot blocker at C ( Jordan or Howard, for example) and a big SF to control his lack of rebounding and rim protection. Chandler and Tucker are decent players, but no way are good enough to cover all of that.
Look at another PFs in the western conference....
Derrick Favors, Anthony Davis, LaMarcus Aldridge, Dirk Nowitzki, Blake Griffin, Serge Ibaka, Keneth Faried, Zach Randolph, Draymond Green........ and teams without a great player at that position have a big big prospect there like:

Cauley-Stein/ Cousins in Sacramento
Randle in LA
Vonleh in Portland
Anthony Towns/ Dieng in Minnesota

The only, ONLY team with a worse PF in the entire Western Conference is Houston with Terrence Jones.

Grant Hill called to say hello. Wasn't Chandler on the Allstar team in 2013?

Chandler and Hill aren't/weren't premiere free agents at the time of signing.

Besides the Mavs who else was really pushing hard to sign Chandler?

You never said premiere FAs, you said Nash was the last Allstar FAs to sign with us. Lately, "major" FAs have been signing with teams with other major stars on the team, except Lebron, who thought they would come to Cleveland after he signed. He returned home.

Oh well, this doesn't help anything. Let's focus on what we have and cheer on the players that put on a Suns uni.

We all get it. You have an irrational hatred for the guy. Why post it over and over again? You aren't convincing anyone, just like we aren't convincing you.

Seriously though, should we throw a max at Tristan Thompson, or is that dumb? I honestly don't know enough about him/contracts/what not.

Letsgosuns, even though some of your points about Keef are valid, the fact is that if real GMs (teehee) acted from emotion like that, they wouldn't last a single season. Like it or not, Keef is one of the three most valuable assets on our team at the moment, so if we are going to trade him, it better be for something significant that helps us get somewhere in the next 3-4 years.

I think I'd be a waste of time. Cleveland would match it to keep LeBron happy.
