Kyle O'Quinn (restricted): Kyle O'Quinn will be a much tougher free agent to steal on a bargain because he's a restricted free agent the Orlando Magic are quite fond of having. But he's a good midrange shooter and averaged a double-double per 36 minutes his first two seasons in the NBA. Last season, he only averaged 12.8 and 8.7 per 36, which still isn't anything to dismiss. He's a career 40.2 percent midrange shooter.

Really like this move. Now we just need an older vet or two to fill in the lineup. Who's still out there for a vet minimum? Elton Brand or something?

Wow, impressive stuff

We needed balance and depth and are getting it

Some of us lobbied for multiple contracts instead of one massive deal. Granted we didn't have the one massive deal as an option. But we just added 4 solid pieces and have almost 3 ml left to deal with

This was the right approach, we need to rebuild and show the world we can compete. We need to prove to free agents we are going somewhere... no one wants to come here because we have been joke for 15 years.

Now is the time, and Phil is doing it right. He deserves credit for this off season.

We didn't need to lust after stars, and they were never coming here anyway... we needed a team.

We have one now.

One that defends, passes., plays hard, and plays the right way.

I do like the direction we are heading. We are getting defenders all around, except Derrick WIlliams.

We are having an underrated free agency. Only thing we lack is a consistent 2nd option. Unless Jerian Grant or Kristaps gives us an unexpected scoring punch, I still do see us relying too much on Melo. if we can somehow get that 2nd scorer, I do believe we are in contention for the playoffs.

We arent hitting HR's, but we are hitting solid line drives all around the field.

We might as well trade Melo for a young player or two plhs a 2016 pick.

I know. And the trading of future assets. Giving away picks like candy. Phil sucks. :noway:

It is the right to swap, we didn't give away a pick nice try though. We spent Jimmy Dolan's cash.

But the swap, it's horrible, moving down 5 spots in the 2nd round, you could miss out on a hidden star!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm just making fun of the Realgm'ers who hate every single thing Phil does. I'm also amused at those who think this is great, but hate the Robin Lopez deal.

Dont mind the deal, but Joel Freeland and kevin Séraphin could be had by that money, both are much better players than KOQ
same with Derrick, not a bad deal, but there were better options.
we have the room exception left or not? what did we burn in this S&T the rest of the cap space?
so that is 2,8m$ left, i hope they get a G with it, Cory Joseph would be phenomenal, not sure if we will comman more.

dolan cant stand those smart moves.

phil jackson ruining dolan's Knicks culture!!!
-overpaying
-get robbed in every trade

those 2 rules abondoned by Phil Jackson. Dolan must fire him now.
this contract should be 4yr/35m and we should gave them future 1st and future 1st swap rights.

i really liked our offseason.
so many defensive minded players, tough players. we got what we need.
this is a playoff team. i trust in PMFJ!

I'm not used to these smart decisions. Old knicks would've sent two future first rounders for him.

Wish calderon was going in the trade

I'm giving them a solid B+ offseason so far...Really limited to the premium stars market.

Was really tough to win over Texas guys LMA and Deandre, both are from there and they probably love the tax free life.

Lakers are getting a F.

Next offseason we will still have space for a max contract. Thats what I like alot.

this made me literally laugh out loud... Debbie downer much? .... When life hands u lemonade make some damn lemonade. I see this team being built with small parts here and there, hey u never know. If melo has an all star caliber season along with these aqcusitions we could actually make 7-8 the seed and build on that for possible KD in 2016.
