The only way I see Adams being dealt to LA is if the trade involves Blake and Russ.

Still against a Teague+Schroder+filler for CP3 deal after Jordan's departure?

Why would the Clippers Trade CP3 for 2 PG's and a filler?
Not to mention don't think Doc wants to bring in someone to take Austins spot

Re: Trade Idea Thread II
I'm assuming that CP3 would request a trade or that the Clips would go into a semi-rebuild mode around Blake. If CP3 were to be dealt, Teague+Schroder gives you a lot of replacement young talent that can still keep you guys competitive. I'm not sure what kind of packages would land Paul because of his age and desire to play for a contender, but if he's not being dealt then it makes no matter.

I'm assuming you mean Paul, not Blake

Knicks could offer you guys Melo + Robin Lopez + Calderon or Afflalo sometime this upcoming season for Blake & Crawford. Helps you guys win-now while we continue to rebuild. We all know CP3 is extra close to Melo. Doc is familiar with Melo also from the Celtics-Knicks wars. Mike Woodson calls Melo the best player he ever coached. Lopez fills Center slot well for you guys also.

Nope, definitely not interested in that

It would have to be via trade unless he gets waived

Is it really THAT ridiculous of a trade proposal? I get it if you don't like it, I'm not trying to force it on you (I can't, lol, I'm just a poster) but damn. CP3 is on the wrong side of 30, IF he were traded what kind of package could you expect?

I thought I gave you a fair deal? would you rather we take Teague+schroder+Horford and the picks? that would essentially be what you proposed, two PGs of your choice plus some filler? no? you are talking one clearly inferior option who is only 3 years younger with no more ceiling left, and the other who has a negative value over replacement. just what kind of package could you expect?
ehhhhh f it.

Re: Trade Idea Thread II
if cp3 is so old then why do people want to trade for him?
superstar trades require superstar returns.
superstar trades require superstar returns.

I guess I should mention that "filler" to me includes picks and useful rotation pieces, Teague+Schroder were (in my mind) the main attraction, my bad for not putting them in the original proposal. Whatever picks it would take to get it done, basically, probably 2 or 3 firsts and a bench. Something like Teague+Schroder and the "filler" of Mike Scott, Mike Muscala, Walter Taveres, T'Wolves pick and 2 Hawks picks.
The teams are in two different places, especially with Deandre leaving, is my argument. CP3+Blake+Reddick with an awful bench and no real tradeable assets does not a contender make, though next year's cap jump could save you in that regard. With the above trade, the Clippers upgrade the bench by quite a bit, get younger (including a 7'3'' C prospect) to fit closer to Blake's window, save some cap space (all of the above players are on longterm deals) and retain a talented PG rotation. It has some treadmill potential I guess but it doesn't seem awful. Meanwhile, CP3 probably puts the Hawks over the top for 2-3 seasons so obviously we do it.

Also, if you're being flooded with CP3 trade ideas I apologize, I just clicked on the thread without reading it.

Re: Trade Idea Thread II
i wouldn't say flooded, and i think we should appreciate discussion during the offseason when there's not much to talk about.
however, there's not a whole lot to talk about when deals are lopsided to that effect. again, superstar trades require superstar returns. what star power is there in a teague/schroeder trade? you do realize that cp3 has been the best PG in the league for many years now right? like by a LOT. and he is one of the best of all time too?
i like teague. i hope schroeder sheds his baby rondo title and becomes way better than that asshat. but they aren't on the same level value wise as cp3 and they aren't going to grow into top 15 players. and to get you gotta give, especially for someone like cp3. if you don't feel uncomfortable by what you gave up and you're not sweating a bit, then you basically ripped off that team by a large margin.
anyway to answer the question you brought up: what would the team expect?
at least 1-2 young star players, 1 great draft pick, and 1-ish solid players, not including fillers. some guy on T/T forums was babbling on about lawson, nurkic for cp3. it's of my opinion the only way denver can trade for cp3 is if they give up nurkic/mudiay/two first-rounders, at minimum.
the clips are still really just 2 pieces away from being where they need to be. next year might suck but the year after actually can be pretty good. jordan leaving is not the end of the world so we don't have to make dramatic changes. but giving up cp3 is tantamount to blowing it all up. and you don't blow it up by asking for fillers.
