Proper time, dust has settled, get him now before it is too late.

"I love it here. I want to come back. My agent knows that, I know that, I love it here," Casspi said.

WB Omri. We need you and am glad you want to come back to us after all the woe last season.

Great guy, great price, solid player. Nothing to complain about here. I'm glad we were able to reacquire him and lock him up for the next couple seasons.

I think that means the Kings got their starting SF back. At least for now.

We never lost Gay. Casspi should give us 10-15mins off the bench.

You know I love me some Omri. Good for chemistry IMO.

I am surprised he didn't get more play in FA

I don't see any other SF with Gay at PF. I think Karl is going to give that unit a real shot, and he probably should considering it was the only thing he went with that showed much any success last year. Unless James Anderson wows or another signing happens there is no other size at SF other than Gay who is supposedly going to "play mostly at the 4" according to Vlade.

He never said "mostly." If he did link, cuz I missed that. Rudy will split his time at the 3-4. Expect to start Rondo, Ben, Gay, DMC, Koufos.

Casspi isn't a starting Sf even on the 76ers haha. More likley Belinelli if they do go that route. I still believe they will start Rondo, Ben, Gay, DMC, Koufos and then they will bring in the smaller lineup.

Well, I just hope he doesn't go in with any preconceived notions and searches for the best team he can put out there and plays to their strengths. Not just his own as a coach.

Yeah, putting the team in the best position to be successful is Karl's job. You may not agree with how he does it but he gets results.

Karl’s philosophy, dubbed “Random Basketball,” is really an ad hoc system. There aren’t intricate rules, per se, but there are fixed guidelines and easily understood goals. Karl wants 30 free throws, 30 layups and 30 assists every game, which reflects his core beliefs in ball movement, pushing the ball quickly up court and driving to the rim. The only real restrictions on offense: Don’t hold the ball and don’t take low percentage long 2-point jump shots. That system works for the young, fast team he has in Denver. The Nuggets led the league in layups, took the fewest long 2s, and were second in free throw rate. As a result, they had the league’s best offense.

In Seattle, Karl was known as a defensive-minded coach, and with Milwaukee he was sometimes criticized for being too focused on offense. The various perceptions of him and his teams speak to his impressive adaptability. He has a talent for developing players and finding ways to get the most out of a player; thus, his teams are defined by the types of players he has.

He isn’t Gregg Popovich, who treats some of his players like assistant coaches. But Karl does consult players regularly in walk-throughs -- going so far as to have them lead sections of practice -- and is known to bring one or two players to his coaching meetings. On a macro-level, he’s definitely a “my way or the highway” type coach. But his system implicitly gives much of the decision-making power to his players, and especially the star players who are aggressive about finding their scoring opportunities.

Karl was labeled early as a coach who doesn’t play young guys. But it’s hard to find major minutes for young guys on teams that are winning 55 games. In Denver, he’s found ways to get his younger players in the flow. He gave Kenneth Faried substantial court time in his rookie season and did a good job of getting Jordan Hamilton and Evan Fournier some run. JaVale McGee, Faried and Ty Lawson all played huge minutes in the 2012 playoffs.*

Cousins isn't a finished product and can benifit from a coach like Karl if he buys in or in other words COMMIT. Sounds like what Karl was asking Cousins to do in the interview and everyone blow it out of proportion.

*coaching info taken from a Beckly Mason article on Karl.

I'm happy casspi is back but I still am unsure of what lineup we will start and finish with.

If Rudy is playing a lot if the 4 we lack depth at the 3, and the defense will suffer. Casspi and Belli are not great defenders, Based on the roster construction Rudy should spend the majority of time at the 3 IMO.

This is a great signing for the Kings. I would've rather signed him to this deal than what we're giving Lou Williams. He'd be great at the 3 and would be able to spell Julia at the 4 when need be.

The Casspi at 3 Gay at 4 lineup worked when I saw it last year. There is a lot of talent and possible combos though
