2012-2013 season- signed thabeet, orton, and liggins...that is it... no use of their exceptions... no trades at the deadline
2013-2014- signed fisher and homes... that is it... no use of their exeptions...no trades at the deadline
2014-2015 - let Thabo go in FA and signed Telfair... that is it... Finally made a deal at the deadline for kanter
McGary was part of the Harden trade as well, OKC got him from the Mav's 2014 1st round pick via the Rox. Also, OKC offered Harden good money, but he wanted his own team and has shown he deserved that. He could've never done what he has done on the same team as KD and RW. I wouldn't have been surprised if he signed the QO when he became a RFA just like Monroe.
As far as FA signings, OKC never had the cap space to go after big names. They tried to get Gasol last year, but couldn't pay as much as the Bulls did. This year's trade deadline was their free agency season. They got Kanter, Singler, Agustin and Novak and probably have the best depth in the league other than GSW.
Also, trading PJ3 and Novak is as much about a roster spot as it is about money.
