Markieff has a ton of talent and this team needs scoring our "all star" back court is way to inconsistent. With lou gone I like how this balances out the team yes I agree not perfect fit but a good fit.

Of course it should. Athletes shouldn't get a pass just because of who they are. If you ran a company and were about to hire someone like that, publicly known, would you not think twice about the person that's just about to represent you?

Hmmm... well my guess is Masai does his homework and if he questions Jones' character he will not get em just based on that

don't follow the Suns, isn't Markieff basically a glorified Patrick Patterson who starts?

I would compare him to Rasheed Wallace.

Hes tougher and a more consistent shooter than Patrick Patterson.

Markief doest fill our need at the 4. Jordan Hill is probably a way better option who will rebound, block shots and play PF and C for bigger match ups or of Val gets into foul trouble.

For what this team is trying to do...Morris makes so much sense for us.

We need to have that guy at the 4 spot who will stretch the floor for DD and Lowry. And also for Carroll to slash to the basket.

He's the perfect pf for our team. Lol @ Jordan Hill. The Lakers were terrible last year. I don't want anyone from that team except Randle and D'angelo Russel

Common now. You're just being silly. Rasheed in his better years was one of the best two way player on any team. Markief is a shooter who doesn't post up or play defence.. he's a black Bargnani7 with a twin brother.

Rasheed Wallace was a top 5 or 10 player when he actually tried hard.. That's a ridiculous comparison.

And you suggest jordan hill in his stead. A glorified stat stuffer that lucked out cuz he was on a scrub team to put in work. I've seen markieff from time to time and what I see is a young big who can stretch the floor that plays good pnr defense even though his Phoenix team were probably as inept as us on that end. That in itself is worth getting him. With better personnel like carrol he should be a great fit. For rebounding we have bismack that can put in work in that end and I expect val to be in better shape and become a beast on the boards as well. If we can nab this guy at a reasonable price who knows how far we can go in the east without grossly going over the cap like the cavs.

It's a comparison moron. How is it ridiculous. They both have decent size and stretch the floor. They both also have a bit of an attitude issue which can be good and bad.

No chit Rasheed is a better player.

You just compared Markieff Morris to Rasheed Wallace (who is nowhere near the same type or caliber of player), and I'm the moron??

Markieff Morris fits what we do on offense, and he seems like he's a pretty good defensive player as well (for what it's worth, his DRPM was #23 in the entire NBA last season). I would gladly take him to fill Amir Johnson's roster spot.

Working out a trade might be tricky, given that we've spent our cap space. Ross, James Johnson, and Bebe is one way to make the numbers work.
