Yes please! Per Stein, not holding my breathe though.
Would have to include non-guaranteed's of Hamilton and Hudson to match Haywood's contract.

Plus, the Cavs are still trying to bring back Delladova and J.R. Smith, right?

Adding Crawford means they dont have to overpay and lock into JR Smith long term. Dont forget, they have to pay Mozgov next summer.
Plus, why would I want to go to the NBA? Duke players suck in the pros.

I assume this would be a salary dump? Bc Haywood is pure garbage.

Haywood's contract isnt guaranteed until August 1, so yes.

It could go either way. Could use the cap space for the likes of Jordan Hill or Josh Smith. Could S&T for them. Or trade Haywood for someone earning 8 figures who's already under contract. At the same time being aware of not taking on too much salary beyond 2016. No wonder Doc said he'd have to be creative this summer!
Apparently Miami are interested in Jamal too. What the hell is going on?

I would find it hard to believe that no teams have interest in him. In Cleveland he could essentially replace JR Smith for a little less money than what JR is asking for. When Jamal is hot, he's hot, we've seen it. Unfortunately, more often than not he just chucks up shots that don't go in. But I could definitely see how he could help out an eastern conference contender off the bench. Jamal and Mo Williams would be hilarious to watch them both chuck away leads as a bench duo though.

Re: Cavs Pursuing Trade For Jamal Crawford With Clippers
I think you guys should trade for haywoods non guaranteed contract. It would have to be a 3 way deal. You need to send Crawford + Hamilton/Hudson. But that's still short, and you can't trade 4 for 1 so a 3rd team has to be willing to take CJ Wilcox.
You'd have 5 players under contract: empty roster hold is 525093$, and your payroll would be 59,8 million + cap holders. You could add 2.7 million for 5 spots, then use approx. 6.5 million on 2 players . And add a 3rd with the room exception at 2.9 million.
CP/Griffin/Reddick/Pierce/Stephenson + McGee + Smith + room exception ( Alan Anderson ? )
Not that bad, just hope you're better than the Mavs this year since we own their pick.
CP
Reddick/Anderson
Pierce/Stephenson/Dawson
Griffin/Smith
McGee/Perkins (vet min)

Actually, we can make that trade without including Wilcox, the salaries of Crawford+Hamilton+Hudson amount to $7,705,842, and we can trade using the 150% rule since we are now under the luxury tax. So if I'm not miscalculating, we can absorb up to $11,558,763 and Haywood's salary is $10,522,500.
Then, if we send Haywood somewhere in a separate trade, we can again use the 150% rule cause we're gonna still be left under the luxury tax, so we could theoretically absorb up to $15,783,750 in salary.
That opens the door for guys like Noah, EJ, Nene, Gallinari, etc. Maybe even Joe Johnson if we package it with Lance and Wilcox. Or some sort of player combination like Chandler+Hickson, Frye+Harkless, Birdman+McRoberts+Chalmers, Landry+Thompson, Webster+Humphries+Sessions, Mayo+Pachulia, Kaman+Henderson, or something of the sort.
Please Cavs make it happen pls.
Of course, looking at our history and luck, it will not happen

Come on man, don't be greedy, we hate the man cause we had to rely on him to actually play crucial minutes. You have a deep roster and are a championship contender, he's actually a good dude and fun to watch, if quite ineffective and a ball hog. You can just let him do the Jamal show and have fun with it, bring some asses to the QLA seats, and then bench his ass in crunch time of playoff games. We really need a break like this

As much as i want you guys to do well i don't want it to be at the expense of us. I just hate the way he plays and we really dont need that offensive spark type player off the bench anyway. We have enough scoring and J R for a similar role. J R also fits a lot better with his 3 point shooting and he doesnt hold the ball much which is what jamal would do.
Hopefully you can find another avenue or maybe 3 way trade would be nice.
Off topic but just wondering did you guys look at hibbert at all after DJ left?

Do you mean us in this forum going through possibilities? Yes, yes we did, several times.
Do you mean Doc and his minions? I don't think so, they were probably busy doing whatever the f*ck they're doing this offseason. What that is exactly, it escapes me :/

Think we did look at Hibbert but it would never work since the Mavs didn't want to help us out with a three way S/T with the Pacers. I am assuming it would be DJ traded to the Mavs, Hibbert to the Clips and Monta and stuff to the Pacers.

Re: Cavs Pursuing Trade For Jamal Crawford With Clippers
I don't want to move Stephenson in a deal for Joe Johnson. Especially when Lance has been putting in a ton of work this offseason to forget last year.
If the Clippers win the championship next year I'm getting banned from RealGM
