No shot unless there is another trade to get rid of some of the wings. Currently SG is the team's most stacked position. Sucks because I agree with you

CDR was originally signed as a temporary relief at SF when he was brought in from the D-League even though he fared better at SG with his slight frame. Right now, the team has a hole(s) at backup SF with Batum being listed as a SG, and they'll need additional depth beyond Hairston there in case of injuries among other things

Lol he shouldn't be all that picky.

For what it's worth I would take CDR over any of our current backup SGs. I know that it's wishful thinking but I would really like to have him back.
My picks:
2020 Draft (3rd pick) - Tyrese Haliburton, Devin Vassell, or Onyeka Okongwu
2021 Draft (11th pick) - Moses Moody

CDR on a league minimum deal does make a lot of sense, low risk and gives us a body on the wing that already has played well under Cliff and seemed to enjoy his time in CHA.

CDR on the wing, MLE on a PG (Lin, Huertas, Brooks?), and biannual exemption on a big body (Cole Aldrich, Henry Sims, Jeff Whithey, dleague find) would make for a good FA period IMO.

We don't have to use the MLE on a player, do we? Can we just sign the remaining players to veteran/league minimum contracts if necessary? I understand that Jeremy Lin and likewise talent won't sign to minimum deals, but if we strike out on those talents can't we just sign each remaining roster spot player to a minimum deal?

Believe that's correct, the MLE is just an option if you want to sign someone but don't have the space.

Depending on whether our interest in Harrison is legit, believe we could just sign him and CDR to minimum deals and call it a day.

Yeah, but you can also divide up the MLE between multiple players. Give $3m to one, $2m to another.

I was thinking more CDR and A.J. Price

I'd rather have Harrison, and I'm not even really that interested in him. Price isn't worth a spot IMO, but I know he's your guy.

There is only one damn reason he mentioned AJ Price. Can we sign Jake Voskuhl and Khalid El-Amin to round out the roster?

I'm a UConn fan but not a homer. You don't see me vouching for Charlie Villanueva or Caron Butler on this roster among other Huskies alumni. I actually think A.J. Price would be a solid backup for Kemba. Price has shown his ability time & time again over the years. He had two games with the Pacers on a 10-day contract before they lost their hardship waiver with George Hill returning from injury in which he almost singlehandedly won games for them

At least the UConn guys have a nice collection of NBA talent right now. I can't say much.

PG: Lawson, FELTON, Marshall
SG: Danny Green, Hairston, Ellington
SF: Barnes, Marvin, Carter
PF: Henson, Brandan Wright, Ed Davis
C: Tyler Zeller, Haywood, May

Ty Lawson, Kendall Marshall, Danny Green, Wayne Ellington, Harrison Barnes, John Henson, Brandan Wright, and Ed Davis would all be warmly welcomed to this team by me

Even the polarized & much hated Tyler Hansbrough whom you didn't mention

Obviously we should sign Khalid El-Amin.

The Wave God is on his way to the Pelicans - 2 years non guaranteed. I hope he kills it and makes the team.

I still don't understand why he isn't on our team. Kind of frustrating tbh.

I don't think we have the whole picture. It's obviously not just us - he didn't stick on any other team last season either. Seems strange, but also seems like there is more going on there. Glad he's getting a shot though.
