Why is Diamond Stone so high? Doesn't seem like anything special

I think Maryland will get notoriety this year and he will have a big year. I think he is still growing into his body and will improve in that area, has good measurables though as it is and he can play inside and stretch the floor. An attractive prospect with upside.

Not truly a mock draft, more of your big board...

Its not my big board, it is a mock. That is not how I rank the players, that is where I see them being drafted.

How can you see them being picked at a spot without knowing what a team needs are...projecting teams are part of a MOCK, without is just a ranking of players

Why would I include team needs in a mock in July with no standings and before free agency is done, that just doenst make any sense to me. I dont know how many times I have to say this but it isnt a ranking of players. No matter how many times you say it is that doesnt make it so. That is not the order in which I would draft the players, it is not my big board. It is where I believe they will be drafted right now, once the NBA season begins, as the season progresses standings can be incorporated and specific teams draft considerations could be factored in. I am not going to make up a fake draft order and draft based on a fake draft order. This is a mock that doesnt take into consideration team need as there is nothing to contrive that information from. Like I said once the season begins and progresses I will have that information and it will be factored in.

Yea, I think his measurable's and that jumper are going to scare some off of him at 1-1.

His measurable's are comparable to Skal's. If anyone knocks Ben off the top it will be Skal though

Sure they are comparable, they arent' remotely close though. Skal at the hoop summit measured 7'0" in shoes, 7'1.5" wingspan, 9'0.5" standing reach, 215 lbs. Simmons measured at the same event 6'10" in shoes, 6'11" wingspan, 8'7" standing reach, 239 lbs.

That's it?? He's going to struggle to play center in the NBA if that's all he's got. Nice size for a PF though.

EMG's 2016 Mock Draft

Given their overall height I'd have said they were comparatively close. Obviously Skal's should be better since he is the taller athlete. I guess Skal's preferred position will likely be PF anyway.
Maybe not the thread for this but I'd like to know how much standing reach and WS are effected by overall flexibility. Ben's obviously been putting in a lot of work in the weights room while Skal is still pretty slight. Seems to me skinnier guys tend to have better flexibility in general. Can by worked on though. Gobert for example increased his standing reach by 2 inches since the season ended.
Just my opinion but I don't think GMs will give too much thought to how vastly superior Skal's measurements are to Ben's

I do think Skal would be a very worthy 1st pick at this point though. If only Skal and Ben could get drafted together. They had some pretty nice chemistry between them at the Summit.

People around uk say skal weighs around 225 and they hope he can at least maintain that weight during the season.
