Huh. He'd have had to improved leaps and bounds over the Summer. He was fairly invisible in the D League games I watched. Some decent plays but even your average D League player makes a couple of nice plays a game. He's got a very, very long way to go.

I would bet on Bruno "2 years away from being 2 years away" Caboclo making an NBA contribution YEARS before Alec Brown does

Brown looked extremely raw last summer. I mean, he could have improved a ton and still looked underwhelming for a summer league player.

Maybe he's put on some weight and learned a lot in a year though, who knows.

OK, time for a new poll here...any suggestions? Like which guy would you most like to acquire? I wouldn't throw in guys like Cousins...just mostly guys recently mentioned.

As soon as someone takes a screen shot of the current poll and posts in the thread i will do it. JTrain is letting me down (though I understand he is likely not around right now).

Good poll! Tough decision though. I picked Gallinari just because I think he'd be the most fun to watch (at least for me). Ryan Anderson probably makes the most sense for the team in terms of style/fit. No matter what happens, I just hope we have an exciting season next year!

None of those guys would get us over the hump this year(IMO) so I'll just refrain from voting.

We could be the surprise team of the season, or we could be fighting for a top 5 pick. Totally depends on how our guys do.

I wonder if there might be something going on with Tristan Thompson and the Cavs. They supposedly have not come to an agreement yet. I still do not understand how can you sign Kevin Love to a 5 year, 110 million dollar contract and then sign your backup power forward to a five year max contract too.

That would be nearly 200 million invested in one position. If the Suns got involved with Thompson, I do think he is a nice consolation prize after not landing Aldridge. I certainly would much rather have him than Markieff. Thompson and Chandler together is not all that much offensively but they would probably be the best rebounding and defensive frontcourt in the league.

I would take a chance on Thompson if the price is right. I definitely would not give him a 4 year, max offer though. I would give him that 1+1 short contract at a large amount so the Suns get him for one year and then he can opt out for a much bigger deal if he wants. With that short term contract, you get a low risk, high reward situation. He is a monster rebounder and super tough so him, Chandler, and Len would be a monstrous defensive juggernaut.

You might want to specify which Zeller in the poll. The Boston one and the Charlotte one have a few notable differences.

The Charlotte was which has been discussed, but I will add it.

Well it's going be tough to get over the hump, but getting to the playoffs if we can would likely make the team more hungry, and not in the literal sense.

I think Tristan Thompson is one of the more overrated players in the league. He was overrated before and his solid playoff run made him even more overrated. I've said it before but Thomas Robinson could be had for significantly less and would give 80-90% of what Tristan Thompson would give.

So normally I try to be positive about things, but I'm 99.99999999% sure that Alec Brown will never amount to anything in this league. Here's to him proving me wrong though.

It feels like people either love or hate TT, no in between. I like him, but I don't think he would be a good fit for us unless Len truly has extended his range enough to space the floor. I also don't think he is a max player, the only reason he might get that is LeBron is basically blackmailing Cleveland into paying TT.

TT is going to be paid way too much because LeBron's buddy is TT's agent and Rich Paul is using LeBron to blackmail the Cavs into a huge contract for TT. You would almost think LeBron is getting a cut. The whole thing is quite unseemly.
