If the Clips lose DAJ and have nothing at center, the Clips might drop to a low PO seed or out of the POs altogether. CP3 and Blake get testy. Doc might get fired as a GM. Things could fall apart there quickly.

It's okay, you can go back bro.
We'll just wait for Dirk Junior to declare for the draft.

Dellavadova's a free agent....
He's restricted. If Dallas wants to throw an offer sheet at a Cavs player, please make it Tristan.

Jordan coming back effectively takes them out of the Durant sweepstakes.
Clippers were 1 game away from the WCF with their PG missing 2 games in the series, so far the moves they made in the offseason have improved their bench which was their biggest weakness last year.

Rather than being a disappointment as the #1 option who can't be the focal point of an offense or create his own shot? The reason why he probably had second thoughts about all this is the realization that Cuban was blowing smoke up his ass with the "Shaq-like" comparisons. That and the fact he publicly stated Dallas was going into tank mode if they didn't get him. That doesn't sound like a winning team.

They were likely the 2nd best team in the league last year. They have the POTENTIAL to knock of GSW, SA, or OKC in the West. I'm well aware of CP3's inability to get past the 2nd round thus far but they have the talent to win the whole thing IMO. And there's no way a team with CP3 and Blake relatively healthy is in the lottery. Two-thirds or more of the league will have the cap space to make a run at Durant next year, I don't think that should factor into their present day decision making process. And next year's free agency class is pretty light after KD

This is just like sports, no one cares what you do as long as you win. Winning means closing the deal, Dallas did not close the deal. Deandre can do whatever he likes, there is no "fairness" in free agency......
It's not illegal. That doesn't make it kosher when you halfheartedly make a decision that has a ripple effect on the rest of free agency, particularly because there was no reason for Jordan to have announced a decision when he did. Lebron's Indecision 2010/2014 looks like a masterclass of pr genius in retrospect.

I completely agree. Unfortunately, we have a GM/coach who's incapable of thinking more than five minutes ahead. This is a short-term move that will absolutely screw us for the next five years and probably longer. Hope the second-round exits are worth it for DJ, Doc, and all the fans who wanted DJ back.

A bird in the hand is worth more than 2 in the bush. Or something like that. You sign DJ if you can.

Look at it this way...more incentive for Griffin to come back in 2 years with his best friend still there, locked up. If the team is still in title contention, I like our chances. Even if you're not a fan of DJ, surely you can see that at the very least.

"A bird in the hand" has led to nothing but early playoff exits and isn't worth the max. "2 in the bush" at least gives us hope.

That's all that matters. It seems like people are getting butt hurt over how people are "suppose" to act in FA. You aren't suppose to hold teams hostage either to see if they are going to acquire more talent.
This is no different than a woman changing her mind over who she wants to go out with or even who she wants to marry. If you have second thoughts, it's your life and DJ is the one who has to live with the aftermath. Honestly, Lebron is loved all over again in CLE after he played all those mind games and he knew he was leaving. Deandre is having his moment in the sun, so this is a minor blip in the FA landscape imo......
I'm so tired of the typical......

It would hurt DA's and the Clippers reputations. Not the agents.
You really couldn't be more wrong. Fegan would get killed over this. Especially when you consider his history with the Mavericks organization.
But he would have to immediately dump Jordan as a client and even then he's going to have a very difficult time convincing teams he had nothing to do with this. Will absolutely hurt him.
If Jordan signs with Clippers, expect Fegan to immediately announce he dropped him. He'd have no other recourse.
I am unaware of Fegans history with the Mavericks.
I just don't know how somebody would jump on an agent for fulfilling his contractual duties. His client may make a stupid classless decision but it's his job to implement it.
One report came out saying the Clippers bypassed DJ's agent. Chuck's just saying he will take a lot of heat if it happens and the only way to distance himself from all of that would be to drop DJ.

The rules are probably being rewritten as we speak. This is only the inevitable result of this whole moratorium thing.
I'm pretty sure the rules can't be rewritten until the next CBA is negotiated.

There is a such thing as being unreasonably positive.....there is also a thing known as being unreasonably negative. Of course the West is stacked but if DJ comes back Clippers will be on the short list of contenders, which is about all you can ask for as a fan. Exiting in the second round again is a possibility as it is for any West contender but it will only be because the West is stacked, not because of any real or imagined shortcomings of the players.
I root for players always, organizations sometimes.
I don't know how I'm ever going to forgive the Clippers' new front office.

There is always "fairness" in everything. Being a man of your word. In particular when people have depended on your word and your welching starts having long term spillover effects.
DeAndre's respect quotient is taking a major hit here no matter what his decision is at this point. Just an weak little spineless attention whore. Gotta wonder if is already shaky rep will ever fully recover. He truly is all flash and no substance.
