The VAST majority of any vitriol is aimed solely at DeAndre Jordan... aka the potential welch, liar liar pants on fire, promise breaker, the high five deprived, etc...

This is RealGM. There's always vitriol and hate being spewed towards the Clippers.

Not true. For the first 10 or so years of this site there was only pity being sent your way.

The Clippers didn't put enough effort into their first pitch and Dallas did not protect and reassure their boy after they had the advantage. Lessons to be learned for all here.

What should be said is, "This is RealGM. IMO, there's always vitriol and hate being spewed towards the (insert my favorite team here)."

After reading every single page in this topic (yeah, really), I'd say it's more like 50/50 vitriol for Jordan and the Clippers, tbh. I would think any team in the Clippers' situation would be acting the same way. Jordan initiated this change of heart...you can't blame the Clippers for accommodating given the circumstances surrounding their center position, cap space and goals.

Pity mixed with hatred. At least now its envy mixed with hatred. I prefer this attention if I have to choose.

What needs to be done is that teams should just go on an impromptu 1 week vacation with their client once verbal agreement has been reached. So that these players cannot be influenced by external noise to change their minds.

Get them to sign a contract stating they will sign a contract. Contract-ception.

To be honest, I don't think there is much envy.

Parsons hanging onto him like a leech 24/7 until July 9th would've been good.

Only one way to sort this...with a one hour ESPN special. Do it in the old school blind date shows format. Deandre can be behind a screen asking questions to suitor no. 1 and suitor no. 2 and at the end pick who is best for him.

I do find it a bit satisfying that the smug Mark Cuban has been taught a bitter lesson in business.

Except DJ isn't the defender Big Ben was.

I'll bet you it was not a decision DJ came to lightly. Dallas did a hell of a sales job but DJ was not really running away. The Clips had a bigger offer on the table and Cuban did not have a signature. I would have put DJ under personal Parsons security detail and not left his sight for a second. DJ still has a best mate in BG, whom Dallas underestimated this time round.

Remember, it was DJ that reached out to Doc. How he was left alone long enough to have second guesses is beyond me.

The meeting has ended, according to ESPN's Chris Broussard. Chris Paul was emotional during the meeting, a source in the room told Broussard. Paul told Jordan he had no idea he felt negatively about him and that he thought they were "brothers." He said he'd work to get Jordan more involved in the offense and that the Clippers couldn't move forward without him.
