Yep. Reneging on an agreement is a douche bag move, but totally legal.

That is basically what the Clippers are trying to convince DeAndre to do. DeAndre Jordan can still do the right thing by keeping his word. But the Clippers have already done things that are beyond redemption. First, they did wrong by not putting effort to retain their star player last week. Now they're doing another wrong by attempting to convince that player to go back on his word. Such a classless organization.

Got any links?

I don't recall any Clippers fan proclaiming he was a franchise player; he wasn't a franchise player last year and Clippers fans all said the same.

For the millionth time, DJ initiated this, not the Clippers, by asking for another meeting.

I wish people would just be honest and admit that they irrationally hate the Clippers. Stop making up bullshit-ass reasons that aren't even grounded in reality.

If Deandre called them first, what do you expect the Clips to do? Not try to win him back? This is a competition, you do everything you can to win as long as its within the rules. What the Clips are doing is no more classless than hack-a-Jordan. It may be against the spirit of the game, but it's within the rules

The person you should be angry at is Jordan

Your selective acceptance of RUMORS from anonymous sources as FACTS is hilarious. You have been doing it all week long.

Facts are: The Clippers and Mavs are in Houston to talk to DeAndre. We don't know who requested what.

Moral of the story? DeAndre Jordan is a narcissist with major self-esteem issues.

I think people need to separate franchise player from game changer. Franchise player = star / someone you can build around. I have not seen any Clipper fan say that he is a franchise player. However, I think it is irrefutable that he is a game changer (for his team - rebounding / blocking shots / defense, although he still needs work there; for the opposing team - FTs/killed possession by making DJ shoot FTs).

LMAO, there wouldn't even be a meeting today if Jordan hadn't called Doc on his phone and wanted to discuss it. Give me a break. Any organization in this position would hear Jordan out and then schedule a meeting if the deal hadn't actually been finalized yet. There is no contract between DJ and Dallas, currently, according to the CBA.

It takes two to tango. It's obvious DJ had second thoughts about going to Dallas and wanted to talk to the Clippers one last time. I can't fault the Clips for taking advantage of this.

Dude should've stayed in LA the entire time, and he's finally realizing it.

No one know who called who at this point. But if Fegan ends up suing the Clippers, we might actually find out when phone records are subpoenaed.

So then they'll be chaperoning any attempt by Parsons or Cuban to talk to him

Cuban should toss wads of money into the air in front of the house to distract them. Parsons can go in the back door.

In the sense that this may be undone or reversed, this really reminds me of "basketball reasons".
