Well I guess draft 2016 number 13 pick your always welcome in Phoenix.

I think Suns management is pretty sold on Leuer as a backup PF.

That's a scary thought.

@WojYahooNBA: The NBA salary cap has risen to $70M for the 2015-'16 season, league sources tell Yahoo Sports.

So do we now have more space?

I think Weems will take most of his time from Goodwin and Booker, not Warren.

This will be Goodwins third year in the NBA. He needs to compete with Weems and win some PT. If he can't he isn't ready to play anyway.

Booker is 18 and will get to play intermittently throughout the season.

Weems looks like a very good player with something to prove and a skill set we need. Its a good signing.

Meh. Decent backup strerch 4 that needs more playing time. He won't be Channing Frye but I can see him being a solid contributor off the bench. Its not like there is a whole bevy of free agent All Stars eager to sit on the bench out there.

Mo Williams is with the Cavs

Richard Jefferson is with the Mavs

Amare is the only one I want on that list. Maybe Reggie Evans, but that is just because I am a sucker for rebounding.

Assuming Weems gets most his minutes at SG in the Green role I wouldn't mind signing McDaniels for SF depth if we deal Tucker. I seriously don't see Goodwin becoming any better of a player than him. Maybe a slightly more reliable shooter.

Some of you underestimate Leuer too much.

Good point

I think the signings today are just a team trying to shore up the bench with decent role players who won't muck up the waters. Ronnie Price at the veterans minimum, I am not sure even counts against the cap. He probably won't be a jerky; and will be less expensive than Ish Smit.

Weems - don't know enough about him but read decent things

The Suns have 4, well with the cap, 5m ofcap space. Have to use it before signing Brandon Knight so either Knight doesn't sign tomorrow or they have a plan. If the team keeps both Keiff andTucker - I think Jordan Hill or Seraphin, a back up4, is what the team needs. And Coro said they were looking for a big man. Whichis good as the team needs a banger 4 who is six fouls, defends, and rebounds.

Actually, the trade for Leuer was a very good one. Lets see, another back up, young PG with little chance to either make the team or help compared with a guy who has shown, in the right role, right team, can play in the NBA. That was a no brainer move and a good one. The Harrison kid will be lucky to have an NBA career like Leuer. I don't see Harrison having a Draymond Green ascendency.

The Weems deal looks like it is the same money as the room level exemption. I think the Suns have something in the works. And they have more room under the cap to work with than is being reported.

Who was that Suns commentator who referred to Leuer as Kareem Abdul-Jabbar in that game he torched us? Btw here is a eight year old Leuer meeting his childhood idol, KG who is still in the league.Image

Not a fan of this sort of prognosticating. Archie came into the NBA at 18, he's had a steep learning curve but its impossible to determine just how good he might be. There is good reason why McDaniels remains unsigned, he's just not a very good player. He has stat-padded on some weak sauce Philly teams.

Clippers are grimy as hell cuz, reminds me of when the Nuggets pulled the full court press on McDyess and wouldn't let him leave the arena to go see Chapman, Kidd and the rest of the Suns personnel that had gone to Denver.

@WojYahooNBA: So far, Clippers able to keep everyone else out of house, including Cuban, agents. Everyone. They're in four-corners until midnight Eastern.

I didn't realize that Bargnani was a free agent. I think he'd be a great "last piece" to the roster. He could have a Frye like resurgence in the Suns system.
