Honest question, why does it matter who called who? The Clips are doing everything within league guidelines to keep a game changer on their squad. Isnt this the same rationale people use to support hack-a-Jordan? "Pop is just doing everything within league rules to give his team the best chance to win"...Clips are just doing the same thing

Done deal. Knew this was gonna happen as soon as news leaked that he might have initiated contact.

This is so laughable, such lack of trust everywhere. Clipper officials are STAYING AT HIS HOUSE because they don't trust his word.

The real reason why DJ will be back in LA is because of the 1000 FREE THROWS.

Dallas should have let him sign first before doing that to him. :banghead:

Yep. Reneging on an agreement is a douche bag move, but totally legal.

That is basically what the Clippers are trying to convince DeAndre to do. DeAndre Jordan can still do the right thing by keeping his word. But the Clippers have already done things that are beyond redemption. First, they did wrong by not putting effort to retain their star player last week. Now they're doing another wrong by attempting to convince that player to go back on his word. Such a classless organization.

For the millionth time, DJ initiated this, not the Clippers, by asking for another meeting.

I wish people would just be honest and admit that they irrationally hate the Clippers. Stop making up **** reasons that aren't even grounded in reality.

THIS. Doc Rivers knows this is the difference between being a contender or a pretender next year. Anyone who says they would hang up the phone and move on if they were in Doc Rivers shoes is either lying through their teeth or the best choice for the next Pope. That being said, you have to feel for Dallas and especially Dirk. He's sacrificed a lot of money over the years and to be frank, Cuban hasn't been able to deliver. DJ would've made them competitive, but they'd still be a tier below the contenders.

I'm going to go with a legit reporter and senior writer on ESPN in Ramona Shelburne and somebody who worked for Fox Sports and currently on ESPN in Michael Eaves rather than bran muffin from Realgm saying "nobody knows." Until another press member reports otherwise, no reason to believe it isn't true.

To think that Doc waited patiently for DJ to call is extremely naive.

Your Mavs fan so I understand. But people change their mind and nothing has been signed. It doesn't make him the scum of the earth he just had doubts and thinks he mad a mistake. As for the Clippers they are doing what is best for their team as they should. The emotions are high here. Yall talking like someone committed treason. It is weird and unfortunate if goes back but at the end of the day it is his life and he should do what he feels is best for him, not live up to verbal agreement that he wants no part of anymore just because.

Because Fegan has a contractual relationship with his client, the Clippers are supposed to communicate through him and when you go around an agent/attorney like that, you open yourself up to a tortious interference claim. If Fegan decides to leave the money on the table, and won't agree to represent DJ if he signs, he's got a claim. Whether he's ultimately successful or not remains to be seen. But if he were to get past he pleading stage, and had an opportunity to conduct discovery, he could make things awfully uncomfortable for that organization.

Moral of the story? DeAndre Jordan is a narcissist with major self-esteem issues.
