Archie at PG is wishful thinking at this point. He's not even consistent creating for himself let alone for others. I think it would be awesome if he can transition to becoming a PG but that's not really his game and it will not come natural to him.

I think there are a lot of players like that who are better at creating for others than themselves. Guys like Kendall Marshall, JJ Barea, Ish Smith etc so if he can create for others but not himself he should still be able to find a role in the nba.

I don't think he's good at creating for others either which is the issue. Creating for yourself is one thing, creating for others require a certain level of basketball IQ and/or experience which I don't think Archie has right now.

Archie isn't a PG, and hasn't been since being forced into that role on banged up Kentucky. He can defend the position, but that's it.

Price will barely play and is there for vet leadership - he plays hard and keeps himself in shape, that's fine for that 'price'.

However, seeing Lin get 2yr $4m and knowing we had that space makes me somewhat annoyed that we didn't kick the tyres with Lin.

I mean our rotation is basically Bled/Knight, one of them goes to the bench and the other comes in at PG - so that's fine.

Still need another big though, AMARE! Though DAL might keep him on now that DAJ did them dry...

I wonder if Dallas are really gonna tank. They've lost the guys (Chandler/DJ) who hid Dirk's defensive weaknesses and I don't see any other player in FA that would help them in the same capacity. But with Dirk still on the team, are they really going to use his last couple of seasons to tank?

was hoping we could sign Lin and other than that was wondering if maybe ish smith could come back.

but this is a good signing. nobody ever says anything critical about ronnie price as a pro. he is a good defender (and versatile for a pg iirc) and a competent ballhandler and play initiator. whenever bled or knight get dinged up he can start games if coach wants to keep bench rotations consistent.

i like this signing and the weems signing. let's make the **** playoffs.
