Clippers lobbying to change DeAndre Jordan's decision, CP3 & Co. to meet with...

it looks like he is being a coward and hiding behind his teammates and try to use that as an excuse.

It was over as soon as he called Doc and had second thoughts.

Agreed, DJ is coming across like a big puss right now.

As a Mavs fan I wish Cuban would just leave and tank the season.

kind of want to see the Mavs offer all their DJ money to the Clippers' signings like Pierce

wouldn't make them a better team but just to spite them

For doing nothing illegal or against the NBA rules?

Just because it isn't technically prescribed by the rules doesn't mean it isn't harmful to the league. I'm sure there are umbrella clauses that deal with these unexpected occasions.

These owners are partners. The business requires competition but not screwing each other over. You can't turn this into no holds barred otherwise the trust that they've built up over the years goes to **** and the whole house of cards comes tumbling down.

This type of thing has happened before. There were no sanctions by the league in the past.

Cuban should just dress up (or have Parsons dress up) as a girl scout and knock on the door.

Oldest trick in the book.

My sources tell me that Cuban is planning a HALO jump that should have him landing on DJ's roof right at 11:59 PM. At that moment Dirk cuts the power to the house and Cuban enters through that part of the roof being repaired wearing night vision goggles and carrying a rifle filled with enough tranquilizers to bring down a rhino. Cuban takes out the Clippers representatives and Parsons jumps through the back bay window on a horse where he'll grab DJ and they'll ride off to safety where the contract is waiting.

Why didn't they just take the contract and a pen with them?

Because this has to end with over-the-top drama.

Considering what we have going on so far the only thing I could come up with that could top what is happening was Parsons rescuing him on a horse.

This is just sad. Him and the Clippers need to show some class/respect. It's childish and bushleague for no reason now.

Dude needs to man up and tell Cuban/Parsons that he's going back. He can't even do that.....

I'm wondering if he's taking phone calls from his agent.

DJ is pathetic. Too much of a coward to even tell Cuban over the phone?

This may not be against any rules, but it's coming across as pretty pathetic from both the Clippers and Jordan. They're reaching a new low. I wonder what kind of consequences this will have in future free agencies when agents are to negotiate with LAC.

This is probably my favorite sports story in a long time.

Classless by DJ and the Clippers, but that is beyond the point at this stage.

How much of a fn baby is DJ that clippers are scared to leave him alone? This is a grown man who will do whatever others tell him to do. He should be the laughingstock of the NBA for the foreseeable future.

As f*cked up and classless as this is. It is wildly entertaining. The NBA f*cking rocks!!!

With that said, Adam Silver will have to address this. A lot of owners aren't going to be too happy with how this went down.

Players have changed their mind but not with this level of interference from a GM or owner.

Good luck with that.

+1. There must be a valid contract to establish a tortious interference claim. Good luck proving that, especially in light of the fact that, during the moratorium, players and teams may negotiate terms, but may not agree to such terms.

And, if any contract was tortiously interfered with, it wasn't Fegan's agent-principal relationship with Jordan, but rather Jordan's agreement with the Mavericks. How could Fegan bring a TI claim against the Clippers if he has no privity?

He's referring to the contract between Jordan and his agent.

Good luck proving any damages though. Anyhow there's no way Fegan sues the Clips and no way this is a winnable case.

I know nothing about law but hear it may qualify as a violation "reverse reliance" or some legal term like that?
