actually its been pretty funny to this non-neutral fan. Some guys have really done harm to their reputation here and it will be interesting to see how that plays out, but I've certainly been entertained.

Also, I guess Parson won't be getting that sales job with Cuban after all. Forgot that first rule: Always Be Closing.

Yeah, this has been a pretty bad look on both DJ and the Clippers. He's likely to go back. He doesn't really even have a choice anymore, I don't think. Still sign with Dallas after all this? Seems unlikely, would do double the damage to his reputation.

On another note

What about Gentry wanting to get davis to shoot more threes.

Is that " Smallball fool gonna ruin the next great big man" ?

Or like me are you less than worried about it?
I came here to do two things: get lost and slice **** up & I'm all out of directions.

I really doubt Gentry plans to turn him into the next Chris Bosh. The 3 as a weapon can be useful but I am sure Gentry will be getting him looks near the rim, around the paint, and even from the mid-range.

I'm not sure how to phrase this thought, but I was wondering something while reading the AD shooting 3s thread.

So the philosophy of most modern NBA teams goes something like this:

Even if a super elite mid-range shooter hits 50% of his midrange shots (A guy like Al Horford), that's still not as efficient as shooting 34% from three, which most guards can do. And since most players only shoot in the high 30's from midrange and the mid 30s from three, there's even less of a reason to shoot those shots. So basically, I've heard the many people say that you should never shoot mid-range shots, because 3 > 2, that a shot 17 feet from the rim is still only worth 2 points but is harder to make, and that the only shots taken should be shots at the rim and 3 pointers.

It makes perfect sense................but don't some of you kind of wish that teams would still tell their players to take some shots from that area if your open (as long as it's not within one or two feet of the line, because even I hate those shots), just for variety. I mean, it's kind of boring watching the same high PnR with the result being either a shot at the rim or a shot 25 feet away (Obviously, there are exceptions like SA, ATL, Memphis, etc.).

Sorry for the long and rambling post.

The midrange shot can be a deadly weapon in a team's arsenal. Memphis made a killing with it against Portland in the playoffs.

Story is bordering on bizarre.
Now that's the difference between first and last place.

Well, before this I kinda liked LAC. Now I'm struggling with that a lot, not so much liking them at all.

Can anyone else see Dirk or Cuban going to Jordan's house, kicking the front door open, and having a showdown with Balmer/Paul? That would be the best story of the off-season, bar none.

This furthers my "grown man" comment about DJ. What in the world is this lol?

He really is a child in a man's body. If he wants to meet with Dallas then he should meet with them or simply call Cuban and tell him to leave him alone.

This is just too much. Have 0 respect for DJ right now not that it matters one iota to him.

This is seriously the most awesome thing to ever happen in NBA free agency. I mean hiding in your house?

This is the craziest NBA thing possibly ever.

Sad thing is DJ isn't this great a player, but he leaves a huge hole on wherever he doesn't go. Bizarre, and I still want security cam footage.

Well, never again will I root for DJ and/or the Clippers.

Going back on his word was one thing, what excuse is there for this cowardly behavior?

Have the decency to man up and meet Cuban/Parsons to tell them he's out.
