I think Blair is movable. If Jordan ends up going back to LA, Dallas should be happy to trade a TPE for Blair.

Once players’ new contracts are signed, starting Thursday, the Spurs are likely to only have minimum deals left to offer.

In their search for bench fillers, the Spurs have been linked to veteran wings Caron Butler, Rasual Butler and Tayshaun Prince. They are also believed to have interest in Kevin Seraphin, the 25-year-old Washington center who shares a spot on the French national team with Tony Parker and Boris Diaw.

Dallas will have a ton of cap space, and they'll most likely tank but at least this gives them a wing and a backup center. IDK...worth a shot, gets rid of $7.5 mil of salary.

I'd definitely do it.

We'd need a backup C. We would probably keep Gooden too...

Yeah, Blair needs to lose weight before he should be even considered for a starting job. And starting both Gortat and Blair would clog the middle just like it did by starting Gortat and Nene...probably even more so since Blair can't shoot and teams would not have to guard against him making the short jumper that Nene and Hump will often knock down.

The Zards are building their offense around its best player, JWall, which means opening up the middle for drives and PnR with Gortat, and spreading the floor with Beal, Dudley, Neal, Anderson, Porter, Webster (maybe) and Oubre (hopefully), shooters who JWall will find for a ton of open looks.

0.01% chance Blair starts. Doubt he'll get a fair chance to contribute at PF or C with the Wizards. Before even weighing a player, the criteria for defining good play vs bad needs to be agreed upon.

While Wilcox carried the bulk of the offense, Wolters and Dawson stuffed the stat sheet — Wolters finished with 12 points, 5 assists, 2 steals, and 3 blocks while Dawson finished with his second double-double in three games with 14 points and 11 rebounds, as well as 4 steals and a block.

Wolters’ team-leading 18 points weren’t enough to get past the Pistons (1-1) and No. 8 overall pick Stanley Johnson, who added 24 points as the Clippers fell, 77-69.

O’Connor complimented the job Wolters, who went 7-of-12 from the floor, has done running the Clippers’ offense. It was Wolters who cut the deficit to nine points on a 3-pointer with 3:27 remaining in the fourth quarter.

“I tried to give the team a spark when I had the ball in my hands,” Wolters said. “I was able to get to the basket and finish. It’s nice to be able to contribute. All of the guys here are playing hard, so I’m just trying to do whatever I can to help.”

Former South Dakota State Jackrabbit star Nate Wolters had a solid start to his NBA Summer League season.

Wolters started for the Los Angeles Clippers and scored 12 points, grabbed five rebounds and dished out four assists
in LA's 75-74 loss to the Orlando Magic in Orlando.

Wolters will play this week with the Clippers and join the San Antonio Spurs, coached by Rapid City native Becky Hammon, next week in Las Vegas.

Wolters would be really good to have right behind Sessions, if this GM was worth a darn.

I've watched him in this SL -- Wolters was playing really good ball. Sorry to see him go down.

Updated salary numbers are out. The cap limit is now $70M. Luxtax is $84M.

Lemne try again: Mavs' contingency in case Jordan goes back to Clips: focusing on Wizards' free agent center Kevin Seraphin, per source.

How can this play to our advantage ?

Hopefully, that luck thing is kicking in.

I imagine Cuban telling Deandre, "yo I'll let you give Lori Grenier that pipe if you sign with us"

Broken left ring finger. In March 2014, he suffered a broken left hand. I assume the injury is unrelated.

This injury occurring with his play being good may have just guaranteed Wolters will receive at least one invite to preseason camp.

It is possibly a blessing in disguise if Wolters is 100% in 10-12 weeks. He can have fresh legs and complete confidence at having a legit shot to get a one year deal.

What about Darrell Arthur as a stretch 4. I think' he'd be a nice fit there for 20-25mins a game.

he hasn't been the same since his knee injury

Looks like Seraphin is headed to Dallas in light of Deandre Jordan staying in LAC

Good to know. I had brought up Charlie a few time recently and several times over the years.

Would be a decent cheap stretch big vet. But if DJ doesn't go to DAL, at some point, they need to #FreeDirk

He could be our new Paul Pierce.

Isn't he a RFA next season? I doubt we can make an offer POR can't match even if he is available next season...maybe if they don't care to it would be a different thing. I imagine with ed davis, vonleh and Plumlee it will be harder for Leonard to see the floor even though I think he is a good young player. Would consider giving a 2nd for him if it insured we'd get him. His stats are actually pretty encouraging IMO. He shot 42% from 3 pt land!! O_O

I actually was just thinking this. Perhaps Cuban does right by Dirk and trades him away to a team that could use him. I think the funny thing to do would be to literally give him to a western conference power like the Spurs, Thunder or Warriors just to ensure the clippers don't advance for another season but I'd wonder if Webster+blair+'16 protected 1st + 2nd would be enough....only way maybe is if Dirk WANTED to come to DC, or leave Dallas at all. He seems a loyal guy, I don't know if he'll abandon Dallas just cause DeAndre is a douche.

Yeep. I never expected Blair to have a long NBA shelf life.

That said, 5 mins a game just to set a few bone crushing picks would have been nice.
