Money talks.

If money talks, he would have just signed with the Mavs since they have a ton of space with DJ going back to LA and no starting PG.

Jordan hasn't technically went back yet.

The Clippers barricaded DJ in his house until he can sign the contract. If he wasn't gonna back out, he would have kicked them out already.

We always pull this stuff out of thin air. I thought for sure he was gonna end up in Dallas. I was getting worried about our depth and I still am to an extent but this helps. With this team you just have to deal with the silence until a signing happens.

Welcome to Charlotte Jeremy Lin

Post#45 » by yosemiteben » Thu Jul 9, 2015 1:54 am

Jeremy Lin wrote:Going into my first true free agency as an NBA player this off-season, the one thing that mattered to me the most was finding a team that would be a good fit for me. I wanted to be on a team where I would be able to play freely and truly play the game I love with joy again. That has always been the most important thing to me. After a LOT of prayer and long discussions with family and friends, I wanted to personally let you guys know I'll be joining the Charlotte Hornets.
My journey has never looked the way I (or anyone else) thought it would, but God has always worked things out for my good and I am confident that he will continue to do so. I want to thank Coach Clifford and the Hornets organization for this opportunity - for taking the time to talk to me, understanding my game, and most importantly, making it clear they believe in me. For those of you who have been patiently waiting for news, from the bottom of my heart, thank you for joining me on this journey. To the Lakers organization and the city of Los Angeles, thank you for your support this past season.
I have no idea what is coming next, but I promise I will do everything in my power to contribute to this team and to improve as a player and as a person. Here’s to the next chapter! ‪#‎audienceofOne‬ ‪#‎BuzzCity‬

Sorry guys, I love this organization.

No one even knows what Dallas was offering or what we gave. Maybe he just didn't want to play for Dallas? Maybe they weren't going to offer him what we could? No one knows the specifics to anything.

Amazing pick up for this team.

He's going to flourish as a 6th man in Charlotte.

Bout sick and tired of people bashing our front office and coach. When they sit down and talk to players they are organized and give well thought out presentations that make other players drool and want to play here. They did that with Jefferson, Hayward, Lance, now Lin. Now thats not exactly a Kevin Durant, but they are yet to whiff on a free agent they have extensively chased.

Other than the Jazz matching Hayward. That shouldn't even count.

He should kick them out regardless of what he plans to do. Only a coward would do what DeAndre is doing. What goes around comes around though, Cuban will get revenge eventually.

But whatever, I'm just happy we have a legitimate backup point guard for the first time in 5 years (I never liked Sessions).

This team is so pathetic. Cho only signed Jeremy Lin because he's Asian.

Clifford factor, same way CDR loved him for letting him play his own game, Clifford has obviously made Lin feel the same way.

Gotta respect that

So what do we have left to spend cap man? Still have the MLE? Or was that part of it?

Did we not use the full MLE then?

That is an absolute steal if it's only $2m+ per year.

that seems like the bi-annual exception, so I think we still have the entire MLE to spend. I'm shocked he's coming this cheap.
